No, some of us do get it right and communicate thus via Facebook. We don’t advise the re-install route you think we do. So why can:t you go on line in this modern world just enough time to activate CbB ? What are your fears ? My PC is on line 100% of the time (i can’t afford a dedicated unit) and as long as i take the necessary precautions, i’m fine. No dodgy websites, make sure your anti virus doesn’t scan the CbB files and you:re good to go. YMMV J

Don’t forget one thing : what doesn’t work for you may work fo others - perhaps your issues are mostly system specific ?. I’ve had very few issues with CbB (and those i had were mostly user error), it is stable, very usable and thoroughly recommendable. But thats just my POV. YMMV but not mine. I paid for Sonar before it became CbB and i’ll do it again, no problem when Sonar comes out. YMMV

@msmcleod I checked and RipX (or its vst name RipLink) is vst3 only. So I guess no, it won't work with 8.5 J

It works as a dll in CbB for sure. I can try if in Splat for you,. If your installation of 8.5 is 64bit then it “should”work…….. J

My main music is rock. I also have Soundforge something and Goldwave. No, i don’t need it. I must be honest though,, i did not spend/waste too much time on it, but…… Looking forward to Sonar however. J
