The beauty of PA is you can download each file. Hornet does that. Melda you can pick. It get the idea of the all in one installer when you have as many products as Waves and IK. The biggest headache for me was NA 2.

As developers seen to use more disk space I'm starting to use more scrutiny and what do keep on drives. I've gotten away from free stuff. When you have all of the popular synth VSTs I don't think there's a point in synth romplers for me anymore. BTW Kontakt is also a synth. I still keep a lot of stuff on spinning drives.

Your forgot to say INSTALLED.

I don't have enough space to install all of it. Some of it is bloated as well. Debating on what old pianos to keep. Deleted Symphony Essential since I can't keep track of the other developers beginning orchestras. Action Strings 2 worth installing? That solo violin rivals Soundpaint for bloatness. Not gonna install that.

I only buy drives with 5yr warranty usually WD and Crucial.

Free is less appealing these days. No one bothers to buy an issue of CM for something free that was offered by a developer.

I added this to the collection of press and create stuff. Most DAWs have these features. I do like Audiomodern stuff since I have Riffer.

We gripe when they change their policies but we seem to buy their stuff. As for Waves they deserve the middle finger.

Tape plugins are designed to capture DAW enthusiasts much like a topwater baits lure fisherman. The younger generation doesn't really care about tape emulation. One can dupe themselves in thinking these are necessary plugins.

That would be interesting to know.

Few people remember the dongle pandemic in the early party of the century. This was back when software was boxed. It didn't take long for IK to ditch the dongle. Now they evolved to having one of the most user friendly licenses. Subs have been around from developers for quite some time they just don't throw it in your face. There are too many stupid people running things but not really knowing about users and the software.

They only thing that ever made it popular was Rewire. They are into cranking out proprietary space hogging REs and never really done much with the DAW other than VST support. Compare it to other developers. Not gonna happen. They woulda done it by now. They would find out the hard way the DAW world can easily exist without them.

I doubt it. Only the stuffed shirts think that will work despite the Waves backlash. It's a DAW that has severely decreased in popularity. They thought people would upgrade for $199,

I don't think you have to install sounds with Scaler. So Scaler 2 vs. Chordjam - discuss.

It's a bit easier with synths (said one who said they would buy Cherry Audio stuff to add to the complication). Plus if I invest more time in Reason I could do modular all day.

I like their eco system and loyalty. For me Arturia are no brainers (not using common sense) and I buy their stuff. I'll give them $29 any day over Waves

Komplete doesn't erase previous version of Kontakt. On my system Kontakt 5,6, 7 are installed. Each on has a different icon. Kontakt 6 was called Kontakt.

I still haven't left the FU Waves tour.

I have mixed reactions about them. Usually the heavy hitters are making music and not posting. It's great if you like DAW drama.

That's about the only thing I like about it. What is annoying is the overkill of them teaching a VST in Logic. Somehow my brain can't wrap around them. You don't see knew ones in Reason since they really haven't updated the DAW to make any. FL Studio - most updates aren't just fixes but adding something new.

Kinda dd that I pay monthly for Groove3 and MacProV, and I've been buying more tutorials on Udemy.

$89 - It would be another DAW to my collection that would get ignored.
