  1. This should give you a pretty good idea on how long the Trackball has been in Studios. Readball right corner.
  2. Behind the scenes, yes. That entire multidock toolbar idea at the bottom - getting old. Opening views without the multidock currently works fine, closing them is a different story. Shortcuts dont work when they are maximized to the window.
  3. Or, you could have pressed MUTE and UNMUTE. I did report this in an earlier release, guess it wasn't looked at, OR assumed it wasnt a bug. Along with plugins that cuts out certain times when you move them while open as well - among other bugs I found in that same release (which wasn't responded too) carried over to the new release as you've discovered.
  4. The dark menu with the white writing was perfect. Just not that dark menu going into white that was on the Audio FX side. That sudden burst of brightness was too much on the eyes.

    Resolution

I know im going wild with this, but wouldn't it be great to be able to scale Cakewalks UI? ☺ The dreams we have.😂
  6. ☺ Yep. To close the the global project. Yeah! I've been complaining about this multidock system for years now. Even though I use floating windows for the Inspector and Browser (only to add samples) I do prefer the PRV and Melodyne as its currently working. What I do find annoying is to have the multidock available with everything you open. Meaning: its not necessary to have a multidock to open these normal. Almost like a ghost/phantom multidock behind the scenes. The extra bar at the bottom looks unattractive and taking space.
  7. Its a controller. ☺ Stop Judging. I believe the OP is referring to the "Console 1 fader" controller by Softube. 😊
  8. I believe these are your own custom keys. I use these keys daily I also think @Starship Krupa are referring to each VIEW WINDOW such as the Browser/PRV/ STAFF etc. when its in "Dock State" to be removed ("closed") and not be collapsed in their docks .
  9. Small issue with gridlines, causing cropped clips not to align properly with grid on snap. Grid issue.mp4
  10. I've reported this in July already, with the 2021.06 release and no one responded to this in its Feedback. So i'm gona report this for the second time around in the new EA release. Can we have this fixed to the smallest tick value? (guess the secret weapon would be to say) PLEASE. Points.mp4
  11. Yes he did, It was spot on. What was forgotten in that was: that certain plugins and VSTi works this in reverse with their own buffer size settings hidden away in their settings menus. Where they work with the smaller the buffer size, the more CPU consumption - so there's that to consider too, when exporting with buffer size where this might vary between projects.
  12. And why would you think they do not need to know? You do realize that 70% of the music on radio are made in home studios, right? There are dedicated home studios that runs exactly like any high profile studio out there with the same hardware as any big studio. So having the buffersize available is a great attachment. The only difference between them is be a business location and the comfortability of ones home.

    Size of cakewalk setup

How long is it stuck on 4/5 for? Try next time with the new Web Installer. The Bandlab Assistant is problematic.
  14. With the highest respect to you. Yes, I'm aware its not the same and I think that is the reason why the request for this to be added to SOURCE CATEGORY is so high. Due to the obvious routing limitations with buses, which AUX tracks dont have. In EDM you sometimes end up with 8 AUX tracks within the project just for a single source. This then becomes a problem when the client request these trackouts of these effects, cause sometimes you have to sidechain a flanger on top of a phaser from an FX VSTi that does not have an sidechain input. Personally, for me its not a problem. I know my way around the routing system in Cakewalk to get exactly what i want. The only thing is, its more work - that's it.
  15. Thanks for the update. I'm gona have to disagree on the sidechain with AUX tracks. This adds more work to it, by adding an extra track. For this to work as shown in my video, Aux tracks needs to be added to SOURCE CATEGORY instead of with the tracks. I believe it is not what the member requested? With buses you just get the signal source.
  16. Yeah. I was thinking why Silverlight? 😂
  17. I believe Cakewalk dont use Silverlight anymore as it has been discontinued in 2011/12? due to the poor restrictions Microsoft brought? Anyway . . . Well, then I guess the problem is with screensets? Have you tried saving your screensets with a workspace. I have 3 different workspaces (with each different layout) running on the same template. So "MAYBE" the screensets are runned with workspaces too?
  18. Really great answers you're getting, but i believe not one of them answer your question. So i'm gona try an be short and clear with this. The first thing before you understand how this works - is to be able to identify the sound (character) it adds per module, which is fairly subtle. Once you can identify this, the rest will become really noticeable. Reason: The more you use this on each channel, the more you will hear this effect in the project. It sometimes helps with your peaks, it smooth out your dynamics | OR | it can add to your dynamics. Another example would be: If you have it cracked up +3db on every channel in a project that consist of 40 Tracks - distortion will be really noticeable. It can either sweeten or ruin the project, so use it sparingly and wisely to shape your Drums, Instruments and Audio Files. Make a mental note of "less is more" with this.
