Backstage Pass and Sonar Pricing
DeeringAmps replied to norfolkmastering's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Yes, that’s $15 a month. To my knowledge it has not been confirmed that BackStage Pass will always include Sonar. (If it was confirmed, I would “pop” for the $150 a year option) There remains much speculation and hand wringing. Unfortunately, that is all we know at this time. t -
Good advice above from those with much better “ears” than mine. I’ll just add 👍s 👏 Where can we hear more from your vocalist? t left a like and comment on SoundCloud, have you?

I think you got the tone happening on this on Freddy. Yep, me too! Especially naked right there at the end; beautiful! Taking the chorus to the 4, priceless Freddy, simply priceless. All around 👍's 👏 and two snaps and a backfield in motion says it all. There is no higher praise... t

Late to the party here, and I agree with the consensus; well done, great chorus! Button tight ending on this one. Much enjoyed. 👍's 👏

Very nice Mark. Left a like and comment over at SoundClick. Y'all could too ya know... t I'm bluetoothed into my new hearing-aids and adjusting to being able to hear the "top end" again! Consequently I'll hold off on any "technical" comments as I'm still "learning" where I'm at these days.

"Sands of Time" (Parts 1 and 2) - Just finished the audio and video
DeeringAmps replied to PJH's topic in Songs
Great stuff here Peter. Really enjoyed it. Left my "like" and comments over at YouTube, noticed that some others had as well (y'all know who you are or are not on that one). t just a note: back on your Take Me Home thread I asked about the cymbals. I can hear them now, finally broke down and got some hearing-aids... -

New Sonar thoughts - spoiler alert - I’m digging it !
DeeringAmps replied to Greg Wynn's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Absolutely, and I am done comparing Sonar to 8.5. Scouts honor -
Whoops missed that. Problem Reporter!

Did you buy the Backstage Pass? You cannot “save”, if you don’t activate. If you are on the “pass” I don’t have a clue. I haven’t had any issues in the limited time I’ve used Sonar. There’s a problem reporter in the help menu; IIRC t

Other than “the earth is flat” UI. what the hey, I worked just fine in 8.5 t

Liked, commented, etcetera… tried to tip, but my iPhone Apple ID is always a major PITA. Maybe because I’m a PC kinda guy? t

For me the lyrics tend to write the melody. this is invariably how I work with my principal collaborator. He generally has a riff and the basic chord structure. But he knows better than to attempt to “sing” the lyrics we are starting with. He has zero sense of “meter” and canNOT carry a tune. My own stuff I think I approach the same way. Often the “germ” of the song is a lyric/melody combo from the beginning. Often that sets up, or a least starts, the chord structure. I can’t think of a single time I’ve had the chords and melody done without some of lyrics present. (could this be why I am not a successful songwriter? Heavens no!) t

Yikes! I feel for you, as all here do. t my studio is still in WA, scheduled to move to my new digs in CA in the next two weeks. This raises my anxiety level several notches. @smallstonefan in my experience the “left” coast gets a “bad rap”. Enjoy your new digs in OR.

That’s what the Celestion Speaker Shaper is for. Guitar >amp>speakers. Each and every component is vital. let’s not even add the player to mix… t

I’m in the dark here. What is a moon muffin? t shame on me for asking, but if I visit their site it would probably end up with me buying something I don’t need and won’t use. 🙃
