How is the new license scheme from Cubase v12 on in practice, is it fine? I keep my Cubase 11 on soft elicenser and didn't switch to v12 even though I'm eligible. Decided to wait and see if this new licensing system is ok or something wrong with it.

Agree with @Sergio on this.  I really think the activation scheme has been a net benefit overall.

I never really cared for the dongles, though I didn't really have any problems with it.  I moved from Sonar to Cubase when Sonar went under.

Where is it? I went to Waves Central and didn't see any updates for my Mercury installation.

Make sure you update to latest version on the Waves site.   Then go back to Waves Central.

Pages of hand wringing about NI's new logo at VI Control
    https://vi-control.net/community/threads/the-new-native-instruments-logo.139931/

Yup, NI I changed their logo so I deleted all my NI libraries, gave away my car, burned my house down and...
then woke up and realized I didn't really give a crap about their logo and went and made myself a cup of coffee.

That's seven minutes of my life I'll never get back.   They'll argue over anything there...

  4. Kind of a bummer - I'm thinking at some point NI will only have two VSTs - Kontakt and Reaktor.  Wasn't Super 8 the last actual VST they released?

So .. I sent them the info they requested, now I wait for a email back?

He's usually fairly quick.  Almost all the Waves purchases/upgrades that I have done have been through EveryPlugin.

AKA the first annual "Please Come Back, We're Sorry and Won't do it Again" sale.

Should have been 50% then.  Of course, as the boys from Monty Python said - "Always Look On the Bright Side Of Life" - it will really give other players in the space pause for forcing a subscription model.

  7. I have Waves Mercury, so I was able to have a little play with this last night.   I'm not really a guitar player, but this certainly doesn't seem to add anything  if you already have NI's Guitar Rig or IK's Amplitube. (or any other decent hardware modeler).  It did seem to be low on CPU.  My advice is to skip it, unless you have Mercury - then it is just another tool in the box.

I think this is a smaller version of their Voices of Rapture - Soprano library. And that’s a pretty good one.

Is it pretty good, or is it pretty pretty good?  Inquiring minds need to know before spending $3.
