  1. I've never really understood all the fuss about Halloween. I'm always being told that I should just have fun with it. Make the effort and join in more. So this year I went all out with the scary costumes, hired a professional set and lighting designer and turned my house into a haunted house of horrors. If I say so myself I blew the neighbours pathetic attempts away. I did it better than anyone. I was the new king of Halloween. Then these two clowns had to go and top me by digging their old friends up.
  2. Well, you certainly gave that little joke a dark turn..........but it does bring to mind a question.... As I understand it, when a woman becomes "officially" missing, the man in her life is always the first one to come under heavy scrutiny by the police who just want to try and pin it on the easiest target. This being so.... How long would a perfectly innocent man have to wait before getting rid of all her crap without it looking suspicious? Asking for a friend.
  3. Not really as good at singing or production as we'd like to be probably pretty much describes most of the people here. 😀
  4. No. I'm not divorced or deaf. Yet. My wife did leave me recently because according to her I am "arrogant" and "take her for granted". She'll be back.
  5. Tried it, hated it. I take it your guarantee will now compensate me in some way ?
  6. May or may not be related, but I've noticed that freezing synths sometimes results in the same kind of thing. I freeze the synths for the obvious reason but do not apply any fx to the freeze so that they can still be tweaked afterward if necessary. Therefore, the audio clip should just be the synth output only, so to my way of thinking any "spike" that is potentially being caused by a plug in should not exist in the waveform and also at this stage of any given project it is very rare that there would even be any fx outside of the Pro channel, so to me that seems to rule out that it's some kind of plug-in issue. Fortunately, the solution is always easy, unfreeze and then refreeze without changing anything at all and it's not there any more, or on some occasions it has moved to a different part of the track. (!) So rinse and repeat and eventually all will be good. I've also seen it happen when dragging an audio clip into the track view via browser. Delete the track and do it again and its gone. I have no idea how computers work and what they are doing behind the scenes at any given time, but there is nothing when I see this problem occur that would suggest that a third party plug in is to blame.
  7. I guess the four that I use in some way almost every time would be Omnisphere, Trilian, Melodyne, Ozone.
  8. Why is it that the people doing the sign language on TV are always plug ugly ?
  9. Them asses. Coincidence?

Link doesn't work for me.... "subvibe.synology.me sent an invalid response" "ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR".
  12. These days they probably have 47 different ones at the same time.
  13. Nor sure if this helps or not, but in my case the project of mine where I noticed that it had happened again this week wasn't even created until the month after I upgraded from Omnisphere 1 to version 2 (version number was 2.6 at the time IIRC) so at least in my case that seems to rule out a new version of Omnisphere as being the culprit. In my other project that I referred to in the quoted thread whilst one instance of Omnisphere was also in that one, which was earlier so would have been version 1, it was still assigned as it should be, the problem that time seemed to revolve mostly around Izotope Iris 2. Five instances that all showed properly as frozen tracks in TV, although IIRC two of them had labelled themselves there as Iris 2 1 with no Iris 2 3 showing in TV. All had the freeze * greyed out in synth rack viewand selecting the solo button in TV whilst also viewing synth rack showed that the track assignments were all over the place. I've only ever had Iris 2, there was never a version 1 installed, so again it doesn't seem to be a version issue.
  14. So you're saying he's not a man ?
  15. Yeah, in my case it was never anything to do with having made midi hardware changes because I have never done that and it still happens. I used to be convinced that it was something to do with deleting a synth that somehow caused the midi out ports of the others to change, so I started using replace synth rather than delete so that the tracks remain in place in the hope that this would somehow make it leave the others alone, but clearly that hasn't prevented it from happening. I have noticed since I installed 2022.11 that replacing an existing synth no longer automatically assigns a midi out port and this now has to be done manually, whereas it used to default to output 1 of whatever the new synth was, so that's a PITA, but I don't know exactly when this changed other than sometime between 2020.09 and 2022.11 because I never installed any of the versions between them. Maybe this has changed again in the last version. I guess I'll find out one day.
  16. Rumour has it that he's working on a new avatar...
  17. Right, that's it..... go and stand in the corner and face the wall!
  18. They'll probably go straight to 10dio for some unexplained reason.
  19. Bapu, you are not just a stoopid old man. You are also an attention seeking post addict. HTH.
  20. I've got a U2 album somewhere. Turns to address the rest of the forum..... I know and I'm sorry. Please don't judge me. There was this one track I just liked at the time for whatever reason and the cd single was about half the price of the album, so I figured if the album had at least one other track that I liked I'd come out of it even.
  21. Yeah, this is an old one that does happen to me from time to time (quite rare, but as recent as two days ago) and I've never figured out why other than it has only happened when revisiting an older project rather than when working on the current one. I have also asked the question before and also never got an answer. I don't think it is Omnisphere related as it is has been used in most of my projects for years now and this week was the first time it happened to be Omnisphere, but the other times it was other synths. This week I unfroze an instance of Omni purely to see what sound it was that I used and after that, having not touched anything else, there was no option to refreeze and it had somehow assigned itself to a kontakt synth that was already frozen, so I unfroze that, reassigned Omni to the correct outputs and then froze that. All well and good except now the option to freeze kontakt has gone because it has reassigned itself to a different instance of kontakt and so on... So annoying when it happens, but I guess if they haven't fixed it in all this time, it's not getting fixed now.
  22. Entering? I guess you're new to the planet then ? Welcome, oh galactic being and if I may be so bold as to offer you some advice while you're visiting ....never, ever, believe the hype. Want a for instance ? Earth dwellers have long been led to believe that extra-terrestrials are smarter than us folk who can't even figure out how to defy gravity. Marketing.
  23. Next week I have to attend a course on how to avoid accidental innuendo. It was actually booked for a female colleague, but she can't go now, so I'm filling her slot.
