  1. Given your motherboard's limitations regarding NVMe slots, using an adapter or enclosure for NVMe drives through your external SATA port could be a viable solution. However, ensure compatibility with your motherboard and consider the performance implications. Alternatively, if you're open to traditional HDDs, a high-capacity 2TB spinner could meet your storage needs economically. This option may lack the speed of SSDs but could offer ample storage at a lower cost. Another consideration is the reliability of your storage solutions. If you've experienced failures with your drives in the past, investing in reliable storage options, whether SSDs or HDDs, is crucial to safeguard your data. Ultimately, weigh factors such as speed, capacity, cost, and reliability when choosing your storage solution, and consider future upgrade paths for your system's storage capabilities.
  2. I got Windows 23H2 through Windows Update normally. Then, around early/middle December, I had to restore my laptop to the 22H2 image that I had backed up. What happens is that since then, 23H2 doesn't appear anymore on Windows Update. I already tried multiple commands, but regardless of what I do, the only thing I get on Windows Update is the Windows Security Updates. Do you guys have any idea on how to make 23H2 appear on Windows Update again? Thank you in advance!
  3. Hello. I purchased a Kawai VPC-1 which I'm using with Pianoteq and Garritan CFX. I'm using an Apogee Duet to get sound to my speakers or headphones. I've noticed that I can plug the VPC-1 either directly into my computer's USB input, or through the Apogee's midi USB input. It seems either way the most my computer can handle is a buffer size of 256 at a sample rate of 96khz or 128 at 48khz. My question: is there any reason why it would be preferable to run the VPC-1 into the Apogee vs. straight into the computer, or should there be no difference at all? Thanks
  4. If you were to build a decent 1440p gaming rig in the first half of 2024, what sort of specs would you go for? It's my son's 18th birthday in May so I think he can have his own PC...
