  1. Have you gone to Preferences | File | VST Settings and done a Reset and Scan (in that order)
  2. Did you do the following? Decrapify it (i.e. remove all the pre-installed software) Install all updates for Windows 10 and vdist runtimes (These are not included with Windows Updates) Update all hardware drivers (Manually visit Manufacturers websites rather that rely on auto updates) - graphics, Audio I/F, network, etc Optimise according to various DAW optimisation guides around the place. Core parking off (CPU Min and Max at 100%) All power saving you can find off (in AC mode) USB power saving off If Nvida, set power saving to "Prefer Max performance" (In 3D settings) Others may have more things to try.
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your audio interface and your graphics card (whether onboard or dedicated). If this fixes it, tell Microsoft never to update hardware drivers via Windows update. http://woshub.com/how-to-turn-off-automatic-driver-updates-in-windows-10/
  4. Clicking on the Buy Now link takes you to the "Cakewalk Announcement" mentioning that they "we ceased new product development and reduced overall operations this past Friday" Past Friday meaning back in late 2017. I guarantee you cannot purchase Sonar Professional. Can you tell up about your MIDI set up. When you press keys on the korg , do you see any MIDI activity on the MIDI track? Have you double checked your MIDI channels in the MIDI routing?
  5. buying Sonar Professional is not possible as Gibson ceased development in late 2017. Your option is to download and install Cakewalk by Bandlab. https://www.bandlab.com/download/assistant/windows As for the (KORG microKEY-61), have you selected the korg as your MIDI input device and turned input echo on in the MIDI track?
  6. As a test only, what happens if you rename your AUD.ini file then try to start Cakewalk. This file is located here: %APPDATA%\cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\
  7. When you "Won't run in safe mode", I am assuming that mean holding shift while opening Cakewalk? Maybe try uninstalling the driver for your Lynx Aurora 16. Maybe head to the Lynx Studio Technology website and grab the latest drivers if you have not done so already.
  8. MME is the "tast resort" mode in case nothing works - for the reasons that you have discovered. ASIO still remains the most favoured driver mode. When you say "Then I updated Sonar" I am assuming that is to the latest Cakewalk by Bandlab (2019.9 Build 70). If not then I recommend you do so. Note Sonar can run side by side - you shouldn't uninstall Sonar to when you install Cakewalk by Bandlab. Then try reinstalling the driver for the Roland Octa-Capture. Maybe head to the Roland website and grab the latest drivers if you have not done so already.
  9. If it's ticks that causes the notes to move the required amount, then I think you were wanting ticks rather than milliseconds. Note: if you do use ticks, then the actual amount of shift , if defined in milliseconds, would depend on the tempo of the project were the notes are. The settings: Preferences | Project | Clock , Ticks per quarter note, will also have an influence on the actual amount of shift.
  10. What I would do is select all the notes in the given track(s) that contains all the notes you wish to change. Then use Edit | Select | by filter to narrow the selection to the notes that have the velocity range that you wish to edit. Then use Process Nudge settings to define the milliseconds to nudge the notes by and then perform the nudge. If you are willing to convert the milliseconds to ticks, you can use Process | Slide and slide by the calculated ticks. If you use the Process | Slide command (and you convert the milliseconds to ticks), you could also write a CAL script for to this automatically.
  11. This is definitely sounding like a borked E Drive. Here is a safe link for CrystalDiskInfo https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/crystaldiskinfo.html

    Piano Roll view

Just tested it on my Cakewalk. It works here on Cakewalk 2019.9 Build 70 Maybe you've keybound it to another function
  13. Preferences | Audio | Playback and Recording. The driver mode can be selected from there.
  14. Have you disabled power management options in device manager, USB Root hubs?
  15. You might want to try another browser.... Link works fine here with Firefox Nightly 71.0a1
  16. A workaround might be to select just that clip - then look at the "Select Thru" time in the Select module in the control bar.
  17. I can't say I have ever had this issue. Do you have antivirus software at all (or any other real-time monitoring software ? If you do, maybe try whitelisting the Cakewalk program and data folders....
  18. As above. We're familiar with the transform tool for controller lane events? Let have one for automation nodes.
  19. They need to make the PRV controller transform tool available for automation nodes.
  20. What I do is run a batch file after my daily backup that includes various commands to back up various CbB components. For example, to back up the control bar settings in Cakewalk by Bandlab, the command is as follows: regedit /e "D:\Data files\Reg Keys\CbB_core_Control_Bar.reg" "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Core\MCBControlBar" Obviously, where the above says "D:\Data files\Reg Keys\CbB_core_Control_Bar.reg", yours will be where you wish to save and your chosen file name for the reg file. The beauty of simple reg files is that in order to restore the settings, you simply double click on the required reg file and it's done.
  21. Unless you are on a 32bit OS only, you really need to upgrade from X3 to Cakewalk by Bandlab, The later is light years ahead - especially in the area of MIDI editing. Also, if you are on a 32bit OS you really should consider upgrading to a 64bt OS.
  22. I believe the crash dumps will be found in the following folder %APPDATA%\cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\MiniDumps
  23. Working fine here I loaded a patch (A Wide Open Gum) into 4.08 that I know crashes 4.07 with the playback disabled. It played fine. (This is the issue I formally reported to IKM Support) I am doing a project with 4.08. So far, it's looking good - no crashes so far.
  24. Pretty much, yes The one for String-Studio VS-3 is in C:\Program Files\Applied Acoustics Systems\String Studio VS-3\Bitmaps All the others are in the following folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Applied Acoustics Systems\{product name}\Bitmaps
