  1. NKS is probably useful if you are playing presets, but not so much if you want to dive into the GUI and actually program this thing. Which is what this legendary synth begs for you to do!
  2. IK's GUI does not seem as well suited for an instrument like this with so many articulation, picking, and strumming options. The IK Resonator walkthrough video shows that you have to select and load from a list of pre-configured instruments to access everything. For example, the picking styles make use of the SampleTank 4 PHRASER, so a different view is used for that. You load the designated instrument, then click on the ST4 Groove Players icon. And in order to access the strumming feature, again you must you load the instrument that uses the ST4 STRUMMER, then switch to ST4 Groove Players, for yet another view. Cumbersome workflow? You decide...
  3. Correct, you don't need to highlight any banks. Just refreshing your licenses will pick up any new banks that you have not installed yet.
  4. SM3 I hope! I wanted to like Zebra 2, and have been running the demo for like forever (and Zebralette)! I love the sounds very much, but for some reason, I just cannot enjoy digging into programming that darn thing! It's probably just me!
  5. Yup! And still waiting patiently for SM3 to be released... 🤪
  6. You get keyswitches and articulations in IK, but no Indigenus GUI like you see in the Kontakt version. Kontakt also offers a solo mode and a chords mode. The walkthrough videos on the respective product sites give the details, but here a couple of screen grabs that highlight the major difference in the GUI.
  7. I just realized that this plugin is 10 years old. So the GUI is probably not scalable.
  8. Not hearing that here. Windows audio running at sample rate 48k.
  9. Bumping this because only 2 days left, and I just saw this deal in the BPB Blog...
  10. As the title of the post says "SynthMaster One". Not a bank for SM 2.9.9. That procedure that you posted will work for new v2.9.9 banks, l but doesn't apply here.
  11. Maybe run it through AmpliTube?
  12. Reactivation credits don't apply to Amplitube, or many other IK software products. You can always download them as often, and for as long as you wish! But any downloads under the "Sounds" tab in Product Manager are subject to expiration. So IK reactivation credits only apply to them.
  13. Follow the instructions and refresh your licenses from the "KV331 Audio Shop Tab" in the SM One browser (basically right-click anywhere in that page to bring up a context menu). Your bank will be added when you refresh your licenses.
  14. Jazz bass and fiddle, ewwww!!!
  15. I've already got the Ample upright bass...
  16. I have been wanting to try my hand at "Americana" style for a while. Now gosh-dangit, I may have to try this fiddle, even if I embarrass myself with poor fiddle playing technique. 🤣 I couldn't help noticing in the demo that @Reid Rosefeltposted, how great the steel also sounded. Conundrum: now I want The Fiddle, The Steel, and The Resonator. 🤪
  17. Yes, but you need to be the first to post to be the editor in chief, LOL! I only managed to do that because Larry is away!!! 🤣

  19. Dear AmpliTube 5 user, AmpliTube 5 has been updated to version 5.1.1 for Mac/PC. This new version optimizes various functions and features as well as includes different fixes for issues some users might have experienced. We recommend all AmpliTube 5 users update for the best experience. Best regards, Your IK Multimedia team Instructions To get updated on Mac/PC, launch the IK Product Manager, go to Manage My Products, and use the Update button next to AmpliTube 5. Changes from version 5.1: Improvements • Fixed Pitch Shifter rack version split mode that had a wrong behavior. Now it splits the dry and pitched signals between left and right channels. • Receive channel in MIDI dialog in the preferences window now supports a None option to ignore any incoming MIDI signal from any channel. • Fixed Brit Silver wrong push-pull behavior. • Updated all Brian May presets containing the Chorus CE-1 pedal that had a wrong behavior causing the presets to be too processed. • Fixed X-TIME’s Arctic model that had no delayed signal when BPM mode was active. • Fixed a possible crash while drag & dropping pedals. • General reliability improvements.
  20. Although I might be tempted to embarrass myself with The Fiddle, I think the maybe I should take a pass, LOL!
  21. Cakewalk, Sonar, Cubase, and a few others, were all born out of multi-track MIDI sequencers. Later on they added audio via hard disk recording to their feature set, forming the modern concept of a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). But hard disk audio recording for personal computers was originally a separate line of audio only products. Digital audio multi-track recording and editing was actually an off-shoot of recording to analog tape. Digital tape decks started appearing on recording consoles, and later computer based programs were available for hard disk recording, such as Digidesign Pro Tools https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_Tools , and SAW (Software Audio Workshop). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAWStudio
  22. Why buy Reason, when there is Live? UnReasonable!
  23. I have the full Analog Lab 4 and Analog Lab V both installed side-by-side. My AL 4 did not revert to Lite (which I never had a license for), when I installed AL V (as it became available as a free upgrade from AL 4). The actual upgrade to AL V was optional, not forced, as it was only added to my AL 4 license.
