  1. Yup, pretty sure these latest items were installed with the update: And yes I did update my Pianoteq the day before...
  2. Thanks, @scook, I missed the new medium background on my first review. All my themes have now been updated for 2021.01, because the theme changes seem to be backward-compatible, yay.
  3. ZIP updated with 1.0.4, with changes to Control Bar Select Module for 2021.01. Backward-compatible with 2020.11 and earlier, if you don't mind some extra white space in the Large size.
  4. This is not official; just my comment: It seems that the minimal change we need to make to have our custom themes be compatible with 2021.01 is to increase the width of one Theme Element: Control Bar / Modules / Select / Background (large) Increasing the width from 131px to 204px will allow the four new buttons to be visible in the UI. Otherwise, they are not shown except for a thin sliver on the right edge of the Select Module. (It is not essential to customize the new buttons themselves, but they will of course look like they do in Mercury, if you make no other changes.) This change is semi-backward compatible with 2020.11 in that the only side-effect is that the Select module is wider than previous, with "empty space" on the right side. Interesting... I wonder if we can make the other module backgrounds wider than they are currently without detriment?
  5. It's probably something really obvious. For example, Cakewalk thinks C5 is note 60, whereas Addictive drums uses C3. Start with an empty project. Add AD2 as an instrument, and remember to check the "split" checkbox to create two tracks, one for the VST and one for the MIDI driver. Then use a test clip that plays every MIDI note in sequence. Play back. What do you hear? Is this what you expected? This should help you get close to the root cause.
  6. Not seeing the drop-down list appear? Could be a javascript block extension in the browser, or something like that.
  7. @sjoens, thanks for your comments. I've made some minor changes to the PRV entries (now on page 75,76?) and updated the graphic because when I re-tested this, it looked a little different from my previous screen-clip. (new version 2020.12.13 uploaded) >> Re: Synth Rack View >> I'd like to see 2 graphics - one Selected & one Un-Selected used in all views - and 1 color for the preset text. I'm not sure what you're asking for, that isn't already in the document. Can you give me a visual example?
  8. Interesting, good catch. Thanks. I've added a section to chapter 3.8 in the YLIP and uploaded v.2021.01.12.
  9. @Starship Krupa, I haven't found a Theme Element that controls the Rec-Arm tint. Even my PURPLETRATOR theme (Every possible color element is a shade of purple) uses the red tint for armed tracks.
  10. It definitely uses the "Clip Background" color as a tint, e.g. I get brown/grey outlines in STEAMPUNK, which uses a dark brown background for clips. In TUNGSTEN I can't see anything, until I select the clips and manually set their backgrounds to a light color, i.e: It's a shame that TUNGSTEN, being a canonical default theme, uses a color combination that renders the clip outlines invisible. But I guess (I know) it's hard to cover every possible case and still have something aesthetically pleasing.
  11. You either need two audio interfaces, or use a different Driver that is not ASIO, because ASIO doesn't share audio between apps.
  12. I just open it via the URL in a tab in Firefox and do a Ctl-F. Works great.
  13. I believe settings in "Color Preferences" override anything specified in the Theme. Remember also that a re-start of Cakewalk is the only guaranteed way of ensuring that all Theme settings are respected - just changing themes can leave some items unchanged (I don't have a complete list and it seems to vary). As for the left/right pane backgrounds, I believe the two Theme Elements in play are: LEFT: Track View / Strip Under RIGHT: Track view / Clips Pane / Track View Clips Pane Background That's assuming I understand your screenshot correctly. @Starship Krupa, @Kevin Perry
  14. @Kevin Perry, When in doubt, set the older Preferences > Colors to the "Normal" preset and re-select the Theme. Is the PRV still "wrong"?
  15. Possible re-start of Cakewalk required to update all colors to respect the theme?
  16. @scook, seems pretty unambiguous to me.... I think it is great that Cakewalk has notes at the project/track/lane level, but the number of times I've been playing back a project listening for "things to FIX" and keeping notepad open with MM:SS or Bar references for each note... it would be nice to have Timeline Notes.
  17. Expanding Markers to include a text note would be nice, as a way of attaching notes to a specific moment in the timeline, which currently none of Project/Track/Take notes are able to do.
  18. V-Vocal is still an indispensable tool for me. I tried Melodyne Assistant and it was so slow (not counting the initial load which is like molasses) when compared to VV and the results are not audibly better. Love me some V-Vocal. Glad you got it restored, @John Vere.
  19. I've always felt that the "Project" menu should be renamed "Timeline".
  20. As a purist I'm astounded that anyone would consider post-mix audio stretching an acceptable solution. That said, if you're producing uber-compressed MP3s for consumption, it probably isn't going to matter. As always, consider and compare the results carefully before committing. And also, consider this a learning experience that determining the right tempo for a project is best decided before tracking audio. For next time.
  21. Damn, I hope someone else has some insight on this. It's about now that @scook shows up and lays down some solid knowledge, but he's probably raving out at a Zoom Party right now.
  22. I attempted to reproduce the problem and couldn't. Even though I didn't save the New Project in which I'd just created and saved the Drum Map preset, when I exited Cakewalk and then re-opened it, created a new project, added a MIDI track and directed it to a new drum map - the preset I'd just created previously was there, along with all the others. Now, I expected this, of course, but I wanted to make sure. You're not switching users or anything? Can you run Cakewalk "as Administrator" just to see if it makes a difference?
  23. Double-check the entry under Preferences > File > Folder Locations > Drum Maps, just to be sure
