  1. And this is the reason I've moved all of my current projects from Cakewalk to Reaper - the lack of news and information doesn't fill me with confidence. It's like 2017 all over again - at least that's the feeling I get. I'll stick with Reaper from now on, unless Cakewalk actually communicate what is going on with pricing and release dates. Cheers, Gary
  2. I've not seen the pop-up myself yet, but had a look at the Sonar pages to see if there were any updates. I noticed the suggested specs have been posted. What's not clear is if 8 cores means physical cores or logical cores, as if it's 8 physical cores, then I guess a new PC is on the cards...
  3. Apologies adding to an old thread, but I had a problem using a Nektar LX49+ as control surface, which I have managed to resolve, and thought what I found may be useful to others. I have Sonar X1 Producer, Sonar X2 Producer, Sonar Platinum, and Cakewalk by Bandlab installed and all but one of failed to recognize anything other than basic CC and note messages - X2 was the only one that worked. I went through all the MIDI playback and record settings and only found one difference - in X2, System Exclusive was enabled but was not in the X1, Platinum or Cakewalk. Enabling this and restarting fixed the problem for me across the board. Cheers, Gary
