Kind of similar to the guitar VST question but I'm looking for a killer plug to process the sound of my recorded acoustic guitar. I have a fair amount of universal audio stuff including the Woodworks. Who knows of a magic plug that really makes things ring out? WSS

Hey how do you transfer your acoustic guitar to a midi file? I have a lot of finger-picking going on in the track and I'd love to save it as midi file and play it through a guitar VST. I've never tried that. Melodyne? WSS

Yeah I know I'm probably SOL. Just recorded four acoustic guitar parts every one of them has audible metronome bleed through the cans. Probably nothing I can do right? No magic EQ isolation on whatever that frequency is? 😫 WSS

If you are running an old version of Windows you should be able to pick up a Roland V 700 system cheap. WSS

Yes I saw duplicate track. It duplicated the track but not the wav file inside it. Maybe I did something wrong? It made another track with the same input the same FX and the same name but there was nothing in it. WSS

I can duplicate the track and I could copy and paste the files from one into the other but it's there still a clone track feature? I don't see it in the tracks menu. Thanks. WSS

Thanks. Yes, I do multiple takes as a matter of course. I actually prefer that to punching in and out. WSS

I see thats a waves plug seems like there's a standalone version on Sweetwater. Anybody use it? WSS

So I'm singing a song with a track just trying to get things together and get my feet back under me as I proceed into my fourth solo CD. It's a karaoke track Diana Krall version of almost blue. I think I sing it pretty well but I have passages that are very soft and breathy and passages that is significantly higher. I tracked with a universal audio la-2a input medium compression through the Apollo twin USB. Also inserted a Manley voxbox. Anybody have any tips or tricks as to balancing out the lodge and soft Parts besides just squashing the hell out of the track? I tried the Cakewalk 64-bit tube leveler I've tried Nectar 2 presets... all of that seemed to add a little harsh Edge to the high-end and didn't really smooth out the disparity volumes. Ideas? WSS

I guess so. My guy at Sweetwater said it was just a wide-ranging general set of rhythms. Like the heavy metal package etc etc WSS

I use nectar to a lot on my vocal tracks. Just a minute ago I double-clicked on piano bar preset under the Jazz presets and it disappeared. I'm thinking I might need to reset that plug into factory settings but does anyone know exactly how? Thank you very much. WSS

After researching that's the one I pulled the trigger on. Ezdrummer 2 songwriters Edition. I already own the groove monkey complete pack and that's one of the ones they suggested as well. Cheers everybody WSS

Seeing some advertisements for this particular program , it looks like it works similarly to melodyne but may allow you to export into separate tracks to EQ and change volume four different voices and instruments in a stereo mix. Anybody heard of it used it or know anybody else that has? Don't know how efficient it might be for isolating different vocals in a harmony chord or in that be mix itself. WSS

Hey Mark what was the single little thing that work for you? I tried just about everything and I can't get the kontakt instruments to play in Kid Rock. Dimension Pro Studio instruments etc etc all work fine. Even the keyboard when I have a midi Channel like to the contact plays until I try to playback a midi file. I'm assuming with Cakewalk since the midi in and out. Omni all the way around. Keybord is selected as the input and output devices preferences. Which one did I miss? WSS

Also Dimension Pro piano plays just fine. WSS

Hi guys. I recently got the kontakt select already had the free one Komplete kontrol. Purchased a few of the libraries including piano Noire Unacorda some strings Etc In Standalone Komplete kontrol everything seems to play just fine my MIDI controller is USB keystation 88. Audio is directed toward the Apollo twin USB. I've made a new test project with a couple of midi tracks. Piano and strings I've inserted Komplete kontrol as well as Cakewalk Studio instruments string section. The kontakt piano plays fine from the keyboard but will not play in the test project file. Even though I see the lights telling me there is activity in they midi track. But not in the instrument track unless I am playing on the keyboard. Both instruments have been dragged into the project from the upper right-hand set as simple instrument tracks. Inputs on the MIDI track are all instruments Omni and the output is to number to Komplete kontrol. Are the Komplete kontrol track input is to Omni again. Output is to master. The midi track shows activity but not the instrument track. Meanwhile the other midi track set out to Studio instruments strings and they play just fine. There must be a disconnect in a setting somewhere but I'm at a loss to figure out what it might be. Does this sound familiar to anyone? And thank you. WSS

Correction I think the name of that was keyscape free. And I downloaded the program and it said the sounds as well but I couldn't move them into a Windows programs VST files folder without being administrator. WSS
