  1. Thank you sir. As I mentioned I have an application syncaila in which I export a video program with multiple takes of the audio to an XML file synchronizes it and then loads it back into the video program. Didn't know if there was a way to do that with cakewalk. WSS
  2. So let's say I have a few different microphones recording a live show none of which particularly start and stop at the same time. I have used a product with video editing that allows you to export your project as an XML file run it through the program at export as an XML file which has been synchronized via the audio track. Works like a charm. I'm wondering if anyone has tried something like this with a kick walk project? If I took six of those different camera microphones put them all on their own timeline and synchronize them? Anybody? I know there's something called music XML. PS the program for video is called Syncalia. Thanks WSS
  3. Thanks Sure, a wireless keyboard would work but I wouldn't be able to see the screen. I would need that to go back to the punch point or set a new punch point or switch to another track. And I don't really have room free separate vocal booth in my particular studio room. WSS

    Go to my PC

Hey I wondered if there was an app that would let me control CW from a remote location. That way I could run it from a pad from a vocal booth in another room. Anybody try go to my PC or one of those other similar applications? I'm pretty sure there's something in Windows that works just fine. I should be able to control my studio PC with my Surface right? Just wondering if anybody tried it. Thank you WSS
  5. Well actually wondering if Cakewalk had an Android app but touchdaw looks cool. WSS
  6. Anybody know of Cakewalk by bandlab can be controlled by an Android pad? Thanks WSS
  7. Thank you sir. I did find the smoother , it's not bad, just a little bit one-dimensional. WSS
  8. Hi guys is there a good deesser in Cakewalk by bandlab? Where do I find it. Thank you. WSS

    Finding RMS

Hi everybody. In bouncing down multiple tracks to one stereo track for export to a mastering program how do I tell what the RMS of that track is? And what should ideally be pre mastering? Are there different schools of thought as to that? I realize there are different opinions on mastering levels. -1? -3? -5 or 10? Thank you. WSS
  10. Thank you sir! Oddly enough after 32 years I have never used that feature. WSS
  11. I have a song with an intro of 90 BPM and then it changes to 120 BPM can I change in the middle of a project? Thank you. WSS
  12. I export multiple tracks Austin oh, it works great. What I usually do is drag all of the tracks that I want to export toward the top and then just click and drag down to the bottom one that I want to export. Sometimes there are many tracks so what I'm wondering is there a way to select only some of them and export in a batch? For instance track 1 2 3 5 7 10 11 12? Is there a way to select those individually? Or must I just put them together? I tried meeting the tracks I didn't want but it still exported a blank file for each of them. Thank you. WSS
  13. Hope I'm describing this properly. In the process of expanding a track Place the cursor at the bottom of the track and drag it down to expand and drag it up to compress. There have been occasions when this doesn't work at all the courser changes its look as it should but the track will neither expand nor compress. My work around is to save the project close it and reopen. At this point the expansion / compression of the track View works just fine. Anybody else noticed that? Thanks. WSS
  14. I can't seem to find one in dimension Pro but does anybody use one that they like? Free? Cheap? Reasonable? WSS
  15. I've never had a problem with Dimension Pro until I reinstalled 1.5 and downloaded and set up the expansion packs from the Cakewalk support page. I double click install it into a project as a simple instrument track but when I double click to select a patch preset it freezes up. I can click on the little arrow at the left of that panel and it will drop down and show six or seven patches I can select but that's it. Anybody familiar with this and have a clue what to do? Thank you all. WSS
  16. Hi guys. If I remember correctly I saw some discussion of syncing up a Harmony with a weed Vocal Track. Not sure if it was in velodyne or some other FX? Anybody remember that? WSS
  17. I'm sure I have some old disks laying around. WSS
  18. Yes I had forgotten all about the expansion packs. I had them on my old system I wonder if I can still download them from somewhere? WSS
  19. Does anybody know exactly which of the Hammond style organs in dimension Pro can trigger the Leslie effect from the midi wheel? Also can I transpose a dimension Pro sound from the dimension Pro page or must I use the transpose settings on the keystation 88? Thank you again. WSS
  20. Not sure if this isn't a lost cause. I recorded the song and I have a vocal track that I just love. I know that I had a few takes and I don't know why or how I deleted them but the only two I have left both seem to have printed with Reverb. It looks like it's the only Cakewalk project with that particular name... Are there archived tracks hidden anywhere that I might dig up a dry one? Thanks everybody. WSS
  21. By the way thanks to everybody. I decided to do it the hard way and I think that helped a lot. Good call Tezza. I just sang the song over and over being very careful of mic placement. Also took one can off so I can hear the natural vocal. The bad news was the mic was picking up the output of the can that I took off! So just for tracking vocals panned everything to the left and took off the right can. Thanks people WSS
  22. But if it's a soft synth inside the computer you should be able to say that as an audio track correct? Or maybe just bounce that down? WSS
  23. So I'm guessing I just select whatever track saw I'd like to export select a destination folder and click export audio after setting the bitrate mono / Mano / stereo Etc. Well that export each track as separate files? Thank you! Westside Steve
  24. I guess it could. There's actually no percussion in this song so... I just bit the bullet used my earbuds from my Audio Technica Wireless monitors and played the guitar parts a few more times. Actually the whistle didn't do me any harm. WSS
