  1. Miroslav samples, reimagined as ambiences. Played back and re-recorded by rare equipment, in remote landscapes or cavernous buildings. 4 petabytes of recordings, available online by subscription only. Individual instruments available for rent using gear credits.
  2. No dynamic discount tricks this time. Oh well.
  3. my enthusiasm is off the scale its so low there's not even a point in using punctuation does it have a point is it even pretty
  4. cleaner, but you could save download time by leaving things as-is. I recommend setting your download directory in IK Product Manager to a slow cheap HDD. There are at least 200gb of zip files (which you can keep as a backup). You may want to check for duplicate files, if you're concerned about 100gb here and there.
  5. I think Syntronik Deluxe is the older version (v1). There are new presets for the older synths in Syntronik 2. For example, "99" has 37ish new presets including "afternoon sun pad" and "comet flash" in addition to the presets in 1 ("autumn rain", "chime piano" etc). However, I THINK that the new presets are based on the same oscillators (sound packs) sampled in Syntronik 1 / Deluxe. The new ones use the Sampletank 4 engine (2019), not the older SampleTank 3 (2013).
  6. I don't remember them having them before, but I am still hopeful about autumn turkey holiday.
  7. Don't worry. You offer "hardcover book" pricing on new products, and gradually decrease prices as time goes on. Just like almost everyone else. At least you offer prices attractive even to us hobbyists towards the end of the cycle.
  8. ??? IK seems to put things on deep discount just before they release a new version. The upgrade cost is generally outrageous and everyone complains bitterly.
  9. I love hotone's little 5w amp heads. Does anyone have anything positive to say about this VST though? Chinese companies like hotone have a tendency to have really poor support, and one forum member was complaining about its stability.
  10. https://www.adsrsounds.com/sample-manager-credits/ min $5. This gives you a small number of drum hits, or samples of people counting down to 2018 in german or whatever.
  11. OK, watched through ralfrobert's link. Free MCompressor has the modulations and custom compression curve. MDynamics / MDynamicsMB has "devices" which seem mostly to be presets for the free version--it looks to me like a "gate" is just a different custom compression curve. With the exception that I presume you can change more of the parameters affecting the curve dynamically, so if you want to change a compression curve on the fly, you CAN with MDynamics / MDynamicsMB (as opposed to drawing new, static curves in MCompressor). It also has a better "EQ" on the sidechain, for more precise targeting of when to duck. MModernCompressor has dynamic range detection, and allows you to target an output dynamic range. MTurboCompressor(le) models hardware, and includes input and output saturation, to give a little analog warmth, but also seems designed for making chains. MSpectralDynamics(le) seems to target things more precisely(??), working on many bands at once (???).
  12. Some Melda products seem so very specialized, or minor variations of other products. I have MTransient, MDynamicEQ, MAutoDynamicEQ, MLimiterX, MSpectralDynamicsLE, and MTurboCompLE, each of which seems to have some overlap with MDynamics. What I don't have is an understanding of when I should use one versus another, or when I've got all my ground covered. Why would I use MDynamics vs one of the above? Or is it mostly covered by one of the other Melda plugins that I already have?
  13. No idea. But beatmaker upgrades have gone for $9 in the past, and Virtual Bassist was as low as $29, so I do have some hope. Wayback machine is unfortunately no help.
  14. I expect they will release Silk 2 in a week or so, with a $49 upgrade fee. Still hoping that they have really cheap upgrades on black friday.
  15. Ignoring the stuff you were looking at earlier, people seem to have kind things to say about the Flanger ( https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=559078&start=15 ). The STD however mostly has jokes involving sexually transmitted diseases.
  16. I'm surprised about convology XT complete. The original Pro X5 did come with it, along with Melodyne Essentials. And sound forge 15 came with ozone 9 elements--see the 4th picture). Given that there are archives available with what was included in Pro X5 originally, I think MAGIX might be on shaky grounds by failing to provide them now, given that they did not upgrade the details in their advertisements. (see https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SampPX5--magix-samplitude-pro-x5-windows-only )
  17. https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/content-creator-bundle-with-vegas-pro $26CAD ($20USD?) Vegas Pro 18 Edit, Music Maker Premium, Samplitude Pro X5, Sound Forge Audio Studio. These seem quite old, but I'd like to hear any remaining fangirls/boys.
  18. Purchased. I don't need more sounds, but Arturia never seems to discount more than 50%, except with these bundle offers. If there are secret codes that will let me get 10 bundles for the price of 1 though, let me know.
  19. Thoughts on pricing: there are no plugins < $19.99. No buying tuners to bump the price to $32.98. The smallest possible purchase using the loyalty vulture* would be $39.98 (ie, $15 for 2). Only a couple of the $19.99 products are interesting, such as UA Needlepoint, and VSM-3, which might previously have been $24.99 nominal. DSM V3 is not the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders" (I just thought I recognized the acronym). *oops, WE'RE the loyalty vultures. voucher.
  20. People seem to want to bash on PA, but if you don't have LION, DS Thorn, Oberhausen, and Knifonium yet, it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy 2 for $25 (with the monthly loyalty voucher). Skip the Wedge Force ones though.
  21. https://en.meming.world/wiki/So_Anyway,_That’s_How_I_Imagine_Our_Target_Audience If you're willing to pay $10000 for a bottle of liquor that you won't even remember, I assume you might just buy an everything bundle from all the companies. Just in case.
  22. Subscribed for the bitwig tutorials. Seems good so far.
  23. This isn't on their website. you may need to be on their mailing list. They sent me a code 23SolsticeAV10 that may work.
  24. One reason that someone might want Syntronik2 MAX is to get on the "MAXgrade" track with IK, assuming (cross your fingers) that IK continues its policy of only giving the best deals to people who have MAX software. I don't have any great love for sampled synthesizers, as there are things you just can't do using samples (for example, modulating pulse widths); wavetables seem a philosophically better choice. However, if you're one of the people who likes the specific sounds that IK chose to sample, this is a good deal for you. You will probably be able to get an exceptional deal on Total Studio 4 in 4-16 months. Otherwise you may be nickel-and-diming yourself, getting a decent product at a reasonable price. But without a good upgrade path.
