  1. On this one, yes. He's doing all the vocal tracks.
  2. I wish that were my voice! It's a friend of mine in the band we're in.

Country definitely seems easy for you. Great playing and singing. This reminds me of the 80's and early 90's for country music when I was a kid. Good times! I need to know what you used for the steel. Do tell. I read that you used backing tracks and midi, but honestly, I'm not real familiar with how that kind of stuff works. You just get the midi, but you have to supply your own virtual instruments or what?
  4. Can you talk a bit about your micing on the guitar? I like it. Also, what you did as far as EQ, etc to it. It kind of sounds like it was plugged in, but I don't want to make that assumption.
  5. That bass is in there! Holy cow. Huge bottom end. I'm a bit different than some of the other posters...I happen to dig Elvis. He influenced so many people with his style. I know it is the thing of that time, but too much verb for my taste. I'd actually like to hear a more modern take on this song.
  6. Nice playing. I felt that the staccato notes toward the latter part of the song stood out too much. I'd push them back a bit. I like the part. It adds dynamics. Just a bit too "look at me" if that makes sense. The flute might still be too loud, but not sure. Seems like that was my first reaction, but then my ears got used to it. That's just my 2 cents. 😊
  7. Really dig the vocal at 0:58. Very nice touch. Really great track, I enjoyed it. The vocal seemed a touch too forward at the beginning, but settled in nicely as it got into it. Might have just been me. Nice playing!
  8. I'm reposting this one since it seems the old thread was inadvertently deleted. I'm going to post up a previous mix first. This was from the first round of feedback I got from you all. The second one is my latest mix. I was working to get more clarity, punch, and a cleaner bottom end. Hopefully I hit my goal. The two may be different levels. I didn't level match them. And here's the latest one...
  9. After getting sidetracked with work and other things, I got some work done on this one. New mix posted in the original post. Updated my comments there as well!
  10. @Wookiee fixed it. Seems it was a setting somewhere that I didn't have access to that basically disabled PM's for me.
  11. I use Chrome pretty much exclusively. I checked it in Internet Exploder a bit ago and it was the same.
  12. Yeah, that's definitely quite a bit different from mine. I've searched everywhere, though. I can't find any sort of setting or messaging feature. I even looked to see if I had something disabled on BandLab itself and not the forum. No dice.
  13. Just checked that and I don't have anyone in my ignore list. I can't actually even find an "inbox" for messages anywhere. I only have "Profile" and "Account Settings". Neither of which have a private messages link in them.
  14. I'm not sure what's up with the PM thing. @Grem said the same thing to me, but I checked and couldn't figure out how to enable PM's in my profile.
  15. Hey @Wookiee, did you happen to check the bin?
  16. Thanks for digging in. Yeah, I had replaced those media fire links a while back. I changed them to soundcloud and most of the posts in the thread were comments about the soundcloud versions.
  17. It had the words "Sun Lightning" in the title. Something about mix feedback. I searched all the pages for it and also used the search bar to look for it. I also checked my posts on my profile. Unless I'm crazy, it's MIA.
  18. I ask because I went to go update my mix for Sun Lightning (title in the original posting) and it's no where to be found. It's like I didn't even post it? Am I crazy?
  19. That's the one from last week. V3 is the latest that, so far, just has instrumentation. I did lower both guitars by 1db. That change is posted in the original post under the same V3 clip. Thanks a bunch! Appreciate the compliment. I couldn't find the "mouthclick" you were talking about at 0:28 specifically. That's before the vox come in. However, I moved the volume envelope closer to when the first transient hits there. I haven't posted a V3 mix with vocals yet, so that's coming. We'll see if I got that click out when I post up the latest. Thanks guys! I've been out of town for a few days but I'm back, so back to work it is!
  20. Welp...like my other one I went back and did a re-mix on AGAIN, I'm doing this one. I changed the original post just so things stayed clean. Am I headed in the right direction on this one? Let me know if anything jumps out to you that needs attention.
  21. Hey all. I think this is likely something super simple that I'm just not finding. I've searched the old forums and this one and I can't find out how to change the order of the busses in the console view. In track view you just drag and drop where you want it. Anything I click on in console view just selects it. Could someone let me in on the secret? 😀
  22. Nicely written and dynamic. I enjoyed it. My only constructive criticism is that when the drums come in, they do sound programmed. Maybe you were going for that. They have plenty of power, but you might tweak the velocities a bit. Maybe even shift the kick just a tad ahead of the beat every little bit. That way it really feels like the drums are driving/pushing the song forward a bit. And when I say a tad, I'm talking in the low milliseconds. Just my thoughts. I really enjoyed listening. Thanks for sharing.
