  1. One of my banks is very picky and won't let me buy stuff from oversea vendors. Most of these vendors have been overseas and I've used up all my overseas account monies and won't be replaced until after most of these sells end. The bank has rejected Plugin Boutique and a few others. Although, it has no issues with US transactions. PayPal doesn't act like a barrier for the issue either! So... Is there an American vendor selling RESO?
  2. I was thinking of getting this, but I realized I was already using a product that can do this (if you use multiple plugins, you can get the number of EQ bands Trackspacer claims) with much better control and very low latency. I have never needed more than 5 bands to pop out a voice thru the music. I was using a dynamic EQ from Waves Audio called F6 Floating-Band Dynamic EQ, but Total EQ can do dynamics too. So Total EQ I use instead of Waves Audio F6 plug-in. TotalEQ by Hornet Plugins for much less (currently on sell for $7.00). https://www.hornetplugins.com/plugins/hornet-total-eq/ White Sea Studio "Better than Fabfilter" YouTube link You can side chain Total EQ. I am able to carve out EQ also without side chain by creating one Total EQ (setup that with EQ band settings) copy it to another track and tell Total EQ to "MUTE" those EQ bands.. which carves out the EQ bands for my mix to go thru. You can copy that to multiple tracks to carve it out of multiple tracks if you want.
  3. So, I downloaded a demo. Within an hour I found it to be a really good Plug-in. It beats Waves WLM Plus! So, I bought it. It's now in my plug-in collection!
  4. Are these components CPU hogs? How do they compare to the CPU hog SONIBLE Smart:Limiter?
  5. Hi, What's the lowest price you've seen SONIBLE Smart:limit?
  6. I love their Total EQ and MultiFreqs.
  7. I've not found a Christmas sale for Metric AB anywhere on the Internet that I could find using Bing and Google. Seems they love Summer sales. I might have to actually get Reference 2 as it's more in my budget range than Metric AB. OR, Ill wait to the end of the year and see if either has a sale. If Mastering the Mix lowers their price on Reference 2 for Christmas, I might get that instead. Depends on whom beats whom to my wallet.

    oooops

    What does "ooops" do?
  9. It's on sale right now for the next 3 days, but I'm trying to figure out what it does... there's like no videos other than the creator video.
  10. Welp... After accidently buying the NX head tracker and a $5 plug-in.. $100 spent... Thinking I was going to get 4 free plug-ins... The plugins I badly needed at that moment I found I already had plugins that can do what I needed. I guess in desperate times you'll find ways to save money and get something done! Two plugins I had was Hornet Total EQ and Waves Pitch Bender. Both those together and I was able to replicate Torque! Since I know that, I guess I'll never need Torque. So... Lesson from this. Try to find out if you already have plugins you can combine to do the same thing and you'll save money. Although my method requires using Hornet Total EQ twice and 1 Waves Pitch Bender... If I wanted to save time, Torque would be the answer.
  11. It has audio that would go to it from other tracks, then that track has FX effects and Automation events that I wanted to apply to that audio that has been sent to it.
  12. I ended up doing that, but you have to wait for the entire song to play... instead of fast bouncing.
  13. I have sent a copy of audio to another track and used plug-ins on that track to make a new sound. How do I freeze that track that doesn't have any midi or audio clip on it... audio comes from another audio source track?
  14. Hi, I couldn't replicate this, but it happened when I was in the software for an hour. Is there a button combination to press if your mouse ever disappears like that to make it visible again? What I think happened: I went to go adjust the right side of the name of a track to expand the track's name... then after releasing the left click mouse hold, the mouse stayed invisible, even though I could move it around enough to highlight File ... Save ... File ... Exit... because the menus would drop down and highlight...but couldn't see the mouse. Is there a button combination to press if your mouse ever disappears like that to make it visible again?
  15. Using this method in Cakewalk by Bandlab is actually much more flexible than using Waves Audio Torque alone! Plus, if you already have both plug-ins .. it saves you money! Two plug-ins: 1) Hornet Total EQ 2) Waves Audio Vocal Bender * Use Hornet Total EQ to isolate the sound you want to change the tone of... then use Waves Audio Vocal Bender to change the tone of the sound. You can even get more creative with 2 Hornet Total EQs... -> Create a new stereo bus... I'll call it bus C for now. -> Go to the track you want to adjust the sound of... like a drum track... Send a copy of your track audio to bus C ............. [SENDS +] it to bus C -> add your Hornet Total EQ there... double click to create a circle on screen, click on the L circle to help isolate the frequency you want to isolate... use the stereo horizontal slider to adjust stereo field to become more narrow. (You should make your adjustments while playing the sound or audio) -> ctrl + left click and hold on to the Hornet Total EQ and drag it to the original track plugin area to make a exact copy there. Once you have the copy there. double click to open it and click on the circle M to mute the isolated sound on that track. -> Go back to Bus C and put Waves Audio Vocal Bender right after Hornet Total EQ. ..... click on FINE, then adjust the tone of how you like your sound to sound like. You can go as far as automating the Pitch for some really cool effects!
  16. Hi! From past experience Cakewalk has supported 5.1 surround sound... I'm wondering if it would work with 360 Ambisonics? I was looking to get Waves Audio B360, until I found that the company that makes Rode microphones also created a free plug-in is called Soundfield by Rode. Just as usual, most companies don't even list Cakewalk as approved DAW.... so my best request is to ask others. So, have you used Soundfield by Rode and what was your experience?
  17. I've gotta kick my self for not reading the Waves Audio Terms... bought NX HeadTracker with CLA and thought I'd get free plugins for $99 + the $5 plug-in to make it over the $100 mark... for a total of 4 free plugins. But nope.. software with hardware combo isn't allowed free plugins! I was so set on getting Torque as one of my plugins... I own Waves Audio Vocal Bender and Hornet Total EQ... So, I use Total EQ to isolate the sound I want to pitch bend... Then I use Vocal Bender to change the tone of the isolated sound. Now that replicates Torque! I guess when you need something, you'll figure a way to do it without the plug-in you wanted. Overall, Read terms before buying... Don't do what I did!
  18. Hi, Has anyone had a package shipped from Waves Audio to your USA address? Did you have to worry about duties and taxes? I'm about to buy NX Head Tracker & CLA ... but their support chat is down and they say they'll take 72 hours on email... so I'm curious if anyone has bought any package from them in the USA that had to worry about duties and taxes?? Your answer is much welcome!
  19. Hi, When I click on File, then slide my mouse to Help. Cakewalk STALLS... almost crashes sometimes. Any reason for this?
  20. Some people block those ip addreses in a firewall. The only issue with looking for ip addresses, is that those must be available. The Technical person emailed me this: For some reason Cakewalk is looking for CloudFront servers on port 80 ... as a last resort it uses 443. It also tries to connect to a Github port 443. I'm guessing there's a private Github that Cakewalk is using? These are always on startup (not in order): 185.199.108.153:443 GitHub 13.225.223.44:443 cloudfront 13.225.210.178:80 cloudfront 108.139.38.10:80 cloudfront 13.92.139.214:80 cloudfront I've seen this once or twice from Cakewalk: 142.250.80.110:443 Google Which one of these IP addresses are needed to make Cakewalk startup faster and How long does these connections need to last?
  21. How about instead of daily checking the internet, let there be a option that will notify you to setup your internet for a check every 30 days on startup? If you then, don't connect to the internet, then just keep checking for internet daily until this event is satisfied. Once satisfied, count out another 30 days. For collection of data for helping cakewalk improve cakewalk, maybe have it save the data to a file, daily, that can be transferred on that 30 day mark? What do you think?
  22. I chatted with a pre-sales person and they told me to try a different device or browser. It works on my mobile phone using chrome, but doesn't work on my firefox on my PC.
  23. The link isn't working for me! Is Waves playing a JOKE? Everytime I click "Get Yours Now" .. i see a little animation .. then it goes back to the start screen and does nothing.. nothing is added to Waves Central !!
  24. Another problem with that DNS stuff is, if you do return 0.0.0.0, it will still try it and still wait for a timeout. A lot of programs aren't built very smartly. I know this because on another network we have runs pi-hole.
