  1. Spent the day beta testing a new reverb mixing this tune.
  2. Fully endorsed and approved by Mäag Audio. Modeled by Brainworx. The original MAGNUM-K™ hardware is a single-channel Compressor built to complement the audio engineer’s craft. It is comprised of two serial compressor sections (MAGNUM COMP and K COMP), a very musical Parallel EQ (with LMF and Mäag's signature AIR BAND®), plus a Soft Limit (soft limiter). In cooperation with Brainworx this design was turned into a convincing plugin, whereas the concept was taken to the next level. BX added L/R and M/S Stereo capabilities, injected 20 different, analog channels utilizing their patent-pending TMT (Tolerance Modeling Technology) and several convenient plugin-only features like M/S Stereo Width, Mono-Maker etc. TMT INCLUDED The Maag MAGNUM-K offers 20 different channels, made possible by TMT. TMT takes the real-world tolerances of audio components found in audio circuits into account and offers various channels of analog audio which have realistic variances in frequency response, time constants in dynamic sections, etc. TMT is the same ground-breaking technology that can be found in the console emulations by Brainworx (SSL 4000 E & G, for example). The result is digital audio that sounds as analog as possible, whereas even the L/R channels of a stereo instance will react slightly different, giving you wide and realistic analog sound in your computer! FEATURES 2 compressor sections, Magnum Comp and K Comp Musical-sounding parallel EQ with LMF and Maag's signature Air Band Soft Limiter Faithfully modelled, endorsed and approved by Mäag Audio Stereo version in addition to the original mono version DRY/WET parameter for parallel mix 20 different, analog TMT channels M/S mode inclusive Solo M and Solo S Retail $299.00 intro: $199.00 + emails & voucher codes being sent Maag Audio Magnum-K
  3. The whole dead celebrity hologram idea has never appealed to me, however I think this one would be interesting & worth checking out.

  6. This new 2019.01 fixes the issue I had with the Export Control Bar module reverting. Thanks Noel for listening, appreciate it.
  7. Jaws is a ‘dynamic BitCrusher’. It has everything you would expect from a BitCrusher: bit reduction, sample rate reduction, a pre-amp, an input and output filter, and more. But it also features a host of modulation options. You can modulate the bit depth, the sample rate, as well as the mix. On top of that Jaws also has a resonant multi filter that you can modulate as well. This means you can use Jaws in the usual way: to add a little of the charm of the samplers from the 80s by reducing the bit depth or the sample rate. An input and output filter, a vintage colored pre-amp and u-law noise reduction make it possible to approximate this old school sound more closely. But most importantly you can use all those effects in a creative, fluid way. With the Envelope Follower you can add more crunch to the loud parts of your track (or the softer parts). The LFO makes it possible to create all kinds of weird oscillating effects. If you use this subtly you can add some ‘jitter’ to the sound. On extreme settings you can alter the sound beyond recognition. Features the basics: bit reduction & sample rate reduction a multimode filter that can be applied pre or post all parts of the BitCrusher can be modulated: bit depth, sample rate, multi filter, mix modulatable with LFO, Envelope Follower, or a mix of both a simulated preamp that adds vintage coloration to the sound an adjustable input and output filter to remove more or less aliasing according to your wishes, or to which device you want to simulate a modifiable bias, which enables you to slide between two different quantization methods a dither function for adjustable noise masking u-law algorithm (used in many 8-bit samplers for noise reduction, and still used in modern telecommunications) Jaws is available in VST (32-bit & 64-bit)/AU (32-bit & 64-bit)/AAX (32-bit & 64-bit) format Price: An intro offer of $29 (reg. $49) is valid through February 28th. https://www.112db.com/plugins/effects/jaws/

  9. Like Ray's other products this is a very good plugin. The gui could use a bit of refinement but that's a minor issue.

  13. Thanks, I'll demo ( & most likely buy) this for sure.
  14. thanks for the kind words Paul.
  15. Great tune Paul, no criticism. I enjoyed the listen.
  16. Today I re-mastered this tune using Cakewalk plus made the video backdrop for the track.
  17. That won't change on this update. It's their dynamic convolution tech that causes the high cpu usage (not to be confused with reverb convolution) Briefly what happens is when you change a parameter a corresponding sample is loaded so it's resource hungry, it can have slow or jerky gui response. It depends on your system & the DAW used. Cakewalk runs well on my i7 5820k /Win 10. I get an avg. of 24-30 instances in real-time (depending on the plugin, HQ etc..) using 1024 SR @44.1kHz. RAM is also important (32GB here) & I'd suggest installing them on an SSD drive if possible. There's a lot more to it than that. Some absolutely hate them & then there are the fanboys. I like their plugins but also my algo's, whatever is the better choice. BTW the Tan Free comp was also updated to engine 1.4.244b https://www.acustica-audio.com/store/products/tan-free
  18. I don't know how much experience you have with them but they rarely send out update emails. On the whole they operate a bit differently than many devs.. I like & have been using their plugins for years now so I know the deal but some are put off by their tech. & the way they handle their business. YMMV
  19. This freebie (until Feb 14) just updated with a vst3 version via Aquarius (also updated to v2.1.001) http://acustica-audio.com/pages/specials/acustica-audio-ceil
