So much to like here: drums, guitar, vocals, BGVs, unexpected chord changes to name but a few and great chops all round.

Incredible mix - sounds brilliant on cans - and I absolutely adore that animated AKAI reel to reel - wonderful!

    Andy

Thanks Andy,  glad the mix is working for you. It was tracked pretty badly to start with, maybe the r2r helps!

Very much Steely Danish - this is fantastic - really love this - very entertaining.

    Thanks Markus, appreciate the feedback.

  3. A change of pace from my usual material, another Cakewalk project from an old hardrive I found yesterday. Remixed on my laptop in cans for this demo.

BTW these older Cake projects are opening & working fine in the latest versions of CbB. I thought there might be issues but all's well so far ! -Hope you enjoy it.

  4. Hi Matthew, thought the track had a cool vibe. I'm listening on cheap cans but the mix sounded good here. I liked that transition at 4:43, wrapped up the tune nicely.  -c

Nice tune.  I really like how you transition through the various instruments.  Great supportive bass line too!

Hope you post some more in this genre.

Thanks for the feedback Eric, I plan on writing new material similar to this in the coming months.

  8. Here's a Sonar project from 20 years ago. Many old synths & equipment that I forgot about or no longer use on this one; E4XT Ultra for the violin, Rapture, DimPro, PSYN, Acid loops, GVI perc, GR-33, Jackson Dinky, DigiTech GSP2101, Delta 66..I had a drummer replace the original track (did a great job imo, didn't give him any instructions, delivered the track the next day) Remixed on my laptop, mastered in Studio One. -Hope you enjoy. (audio only video)

Your music is interesting.  I thought the video paired well with the music.

Thanks for the feedback. These videos just serve as a bit of eye candy when listening to the tune on YT. No story line & as you can see very crude. I'm glad you found them somewhat cohesive together.

Very cool song indeed. Kinda reminds me (in a good way) of the soundtracks of some games I used to play on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive

Thanks antler,  appreciate the listen & comment.

Nice. Were these intended to be soundtracks for something? They certainly have a cinematic feel to them.

Not intended for soundtracks necessarily. These are unmixed / unreleased pieces from other projects. I found them going through old hardrives that I spin up every year or so to keep them working. Thanks for the feedback.

Excellent. Love the arrangement architecture and the stellar leads as they take their turns. Such a cool throwback!

As great as this is, I think "will the kids of today ever dig this?" And the answer is "no" and it's their loss, I'm afraid.

    Great tune.

    cheers,

    -Tom

Thanks Tom, appreciate it.  I never write  for commercial appeal in mind. I do get emails from younger listeners from time to time saying they enjoy my tunes, keeps me encouraged anyway.

I notice that with YouTube the trend seems to be these first time listening reaction videos.  I watched a few & some listen to a wide range of music. Not sure how legit the 'first time listening' part is but they do get alot of traffic. Ironic how they get more than some of the artists themselves...
