  1. Thanks. I barely scratched the surface with 2. Seems like an okay price point to upgrade for the new stuff.
  2. Not limited to musical instruments, but... https://www.ebay.com/e/daily-deals/fall-sfc-shop-all/musical-instruments-gear/619 code for 20% in checkout: SAVE4FALL Some of these are priced very poorly so make sure you know what a 'deal' is.
  3. Damn you, free plug in's! It's $540 on the Waves site to re-Wup my 3 Mercury bundles. I *think* there might be a promo where you get a free plug in with re-Wuping somewhere. I dunno that I see the value in any of this, since Waves seems to keep releasing stuff outside of the Mercury umbrella. At least for me. If they make all this stuff Atmos compatible somehow, I'll wup then.
  4. D'Addario Guitar Maintenance Kit $24.46 Shipping is Free with Walmart+ or orders of $35+ purchase. These seem to be selling out elsewhere around the same price.

    UVI Drum Replacer

I consider this a cool feature- yes. In Slate Trigger you can change the pitch by adjusting the "tune" knob manually. In Additive Trigger you can do this by opening the Edit tab, and engaging and adjusting the pitch there. It's nice to have it done automatically and worked perfectly the 1st time I clicked it without knowing what it was going to do. It doesn't tell you the note value, but when you click the ear icon, it analyzes the pitch of the source and matches the sample to that note value in the form of semitones +/-. This is a fixed value, so if you are trying to add a live kick to an 808 that's playing a bass line- I suppose you'd have to do each note at a time or automate. But if you are adding an 808 to a live kick, for example, this is a quick way to dial things in the way I'd have to do manually with my ole Forat F16 hardware unit (and suffer any sample rate anomalies along the way). Obviously, you can just change the pitch manually in Drum Replacer if you prefer.

Just opened it for the 1st time. The ability to have it analyze the pitch has me won over from the jump. Thanks for posting, Larr!
  8. Tried again just now (after it failing last time). I didn't clear any cache since last time, or do anything differently. I had to log back in, added to cart, and it took me to the promised land of checkout. If I dig it, I'll likely cop the "Bite Harder" version.
  9. Thanks Larr... Still no luck here. I get the 3 circles then the page goes blank. I've tried on Chrome, Safari, tried clearing cache, tried a 2nd computer, tried my iPhone, tried my iPad, tried drinking a beer, tried drinking another beer- still not working here even if I try to buy other stuff on their site. I emailed them at contact@denise.io and suggest others do the same if they are having issues.
  10. I'm a Dragonfire fan for it's DBXish type qualities when set to more RMS. I'm having the same issue here and I own Dragonfire.
  11. The price is steep. Even with this 'sale'. No one should purchase this at this price point without demoing it throughly (ESPECIALLY with Acustica's weird ***** installation and auth process which has gotten a bit better, and the quirkiness of their plug in's on certain rigs). I cannot overstate how important it is to demo their plug in's before buying them to make sure you can deal with the downsides to their plug in's and determine if the upsides are worth it to you. With that said... I like this EQ a lot. This, Ruby, Taupe, and El Rey are my favs from Acustica. It's basically a compilation of different EQ's along with some pre amp choices. Pre 1 is beefy and ends some nice crunch to top end material. Pre 2 is more top endy- you'll notice a musical bump around 10k that doesn't really get harsh and can be blissful on acoustic guitar. Yes- I've used this just for the coloration of the pres. The EQ has a variety of flavors from some of the best EQ's made- Pultec, Neve, Maag, Focusrite, API, GML (the frequency points are detented and not sweepable between frequency) as well as some others that either had to be newly created or greatly tweaked versions of things like Baxandall eq.... 50 and 80 hertz are these funky batman type EQ curves and are distinctively different than the rest of the low bands and the most unique- I was just expecting them to be the tweaked ole fateful Pultec sounding bands but they are not. The low end the peak/shelf is fixed, low mid it's peak fixed, high mid shelf fixed and high the shelf is fixed. So there is a limitation in a sense that you cannot adjust all the Q settings, etc but the upside is that it sounds good from the jump. The other downside in workflow to having a 'greatest hits' type eq like this is if you are EQing something and you are close at, say, 330 (Neve) and want to go up in frequency the next detent is 650 which switches to a more Maag eq type. This is not unlike doing the same thing with hardware if you were switching between hardware as you switch through EQ points. The HPF and LPF are very GMLish. My honest opinion... run the demo now, then hold off for a Black Friday sale if you can wait that long.

  13. Track freeze didn't exist at the time for the sessions I've been opening (some sessions I didn't work on in the 1st place), and some of the routing that wouldn't really recall properly (you'll have to trust me on this one). This will be a bigger concern with all the Atmos and 360RA mixes we are having to recall and port over since often "stems" weren't commonly printed back in the day. Ticket #900282 Thanks in advance for looking into it. Regardless, insert it into a Pro Tools session and it will happen. Literally on every rig I've tried it on in over the last 5 years.
  14. It's been this way for years. IK knows about it. Avid knows about it. The forums have heard me belly moan about it. I think the mentality is "Meh, there's new versions- just use them instead of this vaporware...". This would be fine, except for the recalls (and shakey confidence that this won't happen with other IK products in the future). This also means if I launch a session where someone used it, I have to open the session with all plug in's disabled, and reable them skipping the Amplitube3's and some of those plug in's might have been disabled in the original session. The irony is that I keep this plug in in my plug in's folder and have set up a macro on my streamdeck that launches the plug in (it crashes in Audiosuite as well) if I want to force a bathroom break in the middle of a session.
  15. As long as it's not an older version (that you'll need for recalls)... zildjan.mov
  16. My sale finally went through. However, in the interest of educating myself of the ins and outs of this groupbuy, I'll have that nice drink you mentioned.
  17. *sigh* Couldn't get the site to load during checkout. Cleared cache and refreshed as mentioned here. Site still took forever to load. My cart was cleared, and my jam points are missing. Gone. Fffft. this company... I tells ya.... If the jam points come back in an hour, I'll make the purchase. If not, eff this company...
  18. "Connection Error". For real though- no one knows of a better route to go, correct?
  19. T-RackS 5 Deluxe $209.99 with my jampoints. Talk me out of it. (could use Ampltube5, Modo Drum, Arc3 software).
  20. As Larry mentioned in his other XLN thread, XLN AD2 $69.27 with code GROUP enter code: group = $69.27
