    cubase 10.5 released

I think it's unlikely to see a price drop for BF - historically that's never happened. More especially for a new release. No harm in waiting though. Wavelab 10 did have (has?) an introductory 20% - but maybe that's to offset the rather buggy nature of that particular version.

    cubase 10.5 released

It comes with padshop 2 - the padshop pro licence is now basically junk. Some general moaning over at the SB forum - but it was pretty cheap I think (I'm in the same boat)
  3. meh on those prices they really don't want to see individual licences any more

    cubase 10.5 released

I had a few random elicencer errors this morning on version 6.11.9.3259, both nuendo and cubase - suspect it's a slightly broken release
  5. AT LAST !!!! 😎😊 fwiw - you know you are avoiding doing anything useful when you are going through all your software looking for updates
  6. Run Native Access to update plus an update to Creator Tools (whatever that is) -------- Have I beaten Larry to posting this ?😎
  7. even better as waves already had my email - so zero net loss
  8. slightly off topic but when I buy from JRR it seems to remember my discount levels without putting in a code so I never normally bother. I've a few things sitting in my basket and when I was playing around trying to remember what the code was I re-entered it (the GROUP one) and my discount level on things in the basket went up a little bit. It was only a few $ saving but it might be worth putting in the code every time
  9. great price - what's the discount code for JRR - passing this deal on to a friend edit it's GROUP - but not valid for that deal...still a very good price.

    cubase 10.5 released

thanks zo ^^^^ hadn't even noticed that - I had version sprayed all over my filesystem. At least it cleaned itself up. On some smaller libraries I've given up trying to get the installed on my various data drives. They always seem to default somewhere on the system drive

  17. still not downloadable direct from SB - assume you have to use the download manager ?
  18. The reason they do that is because they want you to visit the website. The reason they are free it to get you to buy the other stuff. Making you visit the websit is part of the process. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. The spitfire website has my username/pass cached so it really only does take a few seconds to click - well worth the trade off (again just my opinion)
  19. sorry - what I meant was that round trip latency is still dependent on out latency, obviously A>D - USB transport buffer - driver buffer ........then the same going the other way. Output latency is always going to be AT LEAST half the the total round trip latency, usually more - so there is a relation between the two. But of course input latency has no direct relevance to virtual instrument (in most real case uses) these numbers: "Optimized drivers yield round-trip latency as low as 2.5ms at 24-bit/96kHz with a 32 sample buffer." 🤓 IF true these are incredibly good IMO - the imply very optimised drivers. I can't see why these numbers wouldn't satisfy most people - but of course just because they claim that is possible we all know in real life that it is very dependent on system load. This might be more of a theoretical number than real world usable number. I also find that midi interface themselves have their own latency - often more than the 2.5ms quoted for these Motu units.
  20. that's what I did but it was over a gig of downloads - seems like overkill
  21. Hi Frank - understood - but can you select only plugins that have an upgrade available ? The list on the PA website is a bit vague on what which plugins have actually been updated - they give a list of manufactures and then a much small list of specific fixes. Every other installation manager I have seems to have a specific update section. I'm being lazy of course as I'm not in front of my PC at the moment but I don't remember seeing an "update" section in the PA install manager.
  22. Yes, the compex and vocal stressor are a little "unusual" too - Mine are pretty ancient though so I think some of the quirks are down to old age..... I use that same excuse for myself too.
  23. you can't just update the ones that need updating - you have to do the whole lot ?
  24. doh !!!! user error - I posted the plugindiscount link and not the boz one - and bought them at $39 (and the wall - thanks @mibby 👿) they were $125(ish) at plugin discounts
