  1. https://ask.audio/articles/namm-2020-waves-reveals-next-big-plugin-ovox-vocal-resynthesizer there's more info if you google nowhere near as earth-shattering-ground-breaking-game-changing as some over priced speakers of course (actually - it looks like it might be fun!)
  2. a couple of newly released PA plugins perhaps ?
  3. listen everyone......... it's very easy and very, very cheap to mock them ! . . . . so let's keep doing it
  4. if the output guys and girls says it's a game changer then I, for one, believe them why would they lie to us ?
  5. something this ground-breaking-mind-blowing-earth-shattering-epoc-defining-world-changing shouldn't wait for coffee - IT'S TOO IMPORTANT ...oh wait - it's just an update to the terms and conditions of Arcade
  6. I'm keeping my fingers crossed - I only picked mine up 2 weeks ago - even the most money grabbing companies have update grace periods...... to be fair the did the DearVR update for free
  7. I know - my game needs changing immediately
  8. run the spitfire audio app to update v1.3.0.b66b/51.0MB -updated: cello total performance patch to latest programming (still a MASSIVE cpu hog though..at least on windows 🤬)
  9. I’ve a very limited brain so I hope so - at last a game changer targeted at me
  10. run UVI portal to install goes from 3.0.8 to 3.0.9 >>>> that's 1 louder, I mean better. PLEASE NOTE: Full version of Kontakt NOT required.
  11. I think we should be wary of believing manufacturer supplied latency figures...just because it can achieve that then it doesn't mean it's actually usable in the real world (clicks - pops - cpu etc etc) simple rule to follow here ..... buy RME : )
  12. less than zero chance IMO (but not mentioned in the manual and nothing in the photos) it does have usb-c on it and comes with a usb-c to usb-c cable (unlike the motu) but doesn't have an LED for the phantom power
  13. I personally agree, but I think that works well for the market they are aiming for - it " features unbalanced outputs for easy connection to DJ mixers" for example I'm more used to rack stuff but angled or horizontal surfaces might work better on the average desktop.
  14. still like the look of the MOTU M2/M4. Cheaper and the M2 also has MIDI which the non-plus SSL doesn't have. devil is always in the details - for me it would be, how good are the drivers ? In my (limited) experience SSL don't have a good track record on that...plus they tend not to support that well going forward. Good to see fairly realistic pricing though
  15. Can't see a price ? or am I just missing something..?

    SAD NEWS!!!

terrible news - only 67 too. edit
  18. https://www.toontrack.com/product/orchestral-percussion-sdx/ maybe apples/oranges but just sayin'
  19. For me it wasn't actually the subscription thing and of course they are entitled to charge what they want, when they want. I'm several $1000 in with PA and I'm not trying to stiff anyone on payment - everybody deserves to make a living and everyone deserves to get paid for what they do..... just think they have lost sight of their customers (for very specific reasons I won't go into)...now they just see us as $ signs. Nobody likes to be gouged (rant mode off) still think a very good number of the plugins are first rate though
  20. I do have a couple of other (non vintage vault) UVI products - maybe that made a difference too. the difference between $299 and $349 isn't much but I probably wouldn't have bothered at $349 - that $2xx to $3xx psychological difference the download is also a bit of a car crash - still trying 18 hours later. The UVI download portal seems to be actually a torrent client (!) I was getting all kinds of complaints from my firewall about inbound connections from dodgy Chinese addresses ( no offence china 🕊️) - and direct downloads are speed capped (heavily) - UVI portal doesn't pick back up if you "force direct download" and there is a blip - the amazon downloads are flakey too - with no 'resume' if there is a blip I'm currently on a gig fibre connection....and it's crawling about half way I reckon.....very very dull
  21. I used to think that and haven't given my voucher away - but more recently I'm not convinced that they have my interests, as a customer, at heart any more. They seem to be turning into more and more of a money making machine. I have bought most of their plugins BUT (without going into details) they haven't been at all grateful for my custom and seem to want to gouge every last cent out of me. Certainly don't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling like the old days. The plugins are good - but their sales technique is shady (IMO) File under "faceless corporation" (see: Waves) - so I now feel zero loyalty to them. TLDR: if the voucher works out for me then I'll use it but if not then I'm more than happy to let somebody else use it - zero guilt . As always YMMV
  22. if you log into your UVI account it gives preferential pricing according to what you own mine was $299 - I had Digital Synsations which I think I might have got as a freebie
  23. agreed - even their $10 plugins are priced at $49 I suspect they haven't worked out the various problems with the preset limits - or if they have they don't care. I'm gonna hang on to my voucher until something "fits" the pricing - which is kind of stupid.
