this update seems to have fixed a small "crash on exit" bug I was having

no change log for this version - but they do seem to have a slightly annoying "input your email address" screen before you can update.

yes - I don't understand why these download presets weren't rolled into the update

sorry I don't think I was clear the presets you say you are missing (confirmed by Matthew) : ⁃ TrueVerb Andrew Thornton Collection.xps ⁃ TrueVerb Dave Darlington Collection.xps ⁃ TrueVerb Leon Rothenberg Distant On Ocean.xps ⁃ TrueVerb Stanley Soares Live Vocal Plate.xps etc are ALL in that preset file I linked to - the EXTRA ones are only renaissance plugins - these ARE installed in v11 so the PDF you linked are a combination of the preset download PLUS the new ones that are in V11 - if you install the ones in the preset file then you have everything in the PDF. They lied when they said there was 1400 new presets - there release notes just say 700 in the Renaissance plugins only. I've just spent the last hour pulling them into my waves plugs, it was painful Give it a try and hopefully it will make sense.

re: missing presets (as my v11 didn't download them either) I think these are the ones ? https://www.waves.com/downloads/free-plugin-presets assume these work fine in v10 too - and dated 2016 ? (edit) looks like those are older ones, although most of those are in the pdf from earlier in this thread..........this page: https://www.waves.com/downloads/release-notes says "Added: Over 700 presets by leading producers & engineers added to the Renaissance plugins" - these are missing in that download. So the "1400 claim is wrong" it's actually just 700 in the renaissance plugins that are new. (edit 2!) so the "missing 700" from the renaissance plugins ARE installed - I suspect a few of us are just missing the ones from the download eg these contain the trueverb presets that were mentioned as missing TLDR - all good just download those presets linked

maybe, but if the system allowed it then of course people are going to do it - it would be fairly trivial to lock vouchers to accounts - in fact just add a 'voucher code' to each account. It's a problem of PA's own making. The psychology of vouchers are interesting - and the often create a sale where no sale would have happened so don't feel too sorry for PA. I strongly suspect they want to drive more people to the subscription model - and that's what is driving this Just MO obviously.

pretty poor IMO - I don't think I've ever (ab-)used a voucher - and it would be fairly trivial to lock a particular voucher to a specific account to stop the abusing they are accusing their customers of. It's basically blaming the customer - and certainly doesn't make me feel good about being a PA customer. I bought the plugs that I did on the deal that was offered at the time - they are retrospectively changing the terms and conditions on that....by all means do that for NEW customers but don't apply that retrospectively. Fortunately I think I have most of the PA plugs that I want - but if they want me a subscription customer they need to offer me a MUCH better deal, considering most of the stuff I don't have is of very low value. Also $17,500, c'mon who is he trying to kid - that's assuming we buy the plugs at full price. Using that method of pricing I have approx £100,000 of waves plugs - anybody want to buy them off me at that price ? rant off

I have the plug and the original hardware phaser and flanger. They don't get an awful lot of use but they are good, with a nice usable set of presets. I'd pick them both up at this price.
