alright freddy! glad you got to check this one out, i'll be posting a couple of other tunes here and there, as i roll out the album release... this is an instrumental version of the song version, "Michael's House", which is the 2nd cut on the album. it just works so well as an instrumental, i decided to add it to the album....

hey tom! glad you dig this one... the whole album is got a lot of diversity in it, i nicked a hendrix quote from '3rd stone from the sun' during this, hence the 'a slight return' nod as well.

hey sailor! glad you dig this one, it was a fun one to track, and to play and sing. this arrangement was probably the 5th version of this song, so a lot of thought and experimentation went into the final version. and the reason for getting it tight, was exactly as you described... getting 'pulled in'.... when you forget about it, as you're listening to it, that's my goal.

alright tom! i'm glad you dig my stuff, this tune was just a fun thing i wanted to do, but it got pretty adventurous, with 12 guitar parts at one time at certain sections.

hey john! yep, wolf man....that's the one that inspired this. story background: it's a little ditty about 2 brothers and a lycanthrope....... it's loosely based on the original wolfman movie, the one where larry talbot gets bitten by the werewolf, and he see's the pentagram in his hand; he knows he's phucked, so he goes to the old gypsy woman who knows about these things, to find a cure, and she basically tells him the only thing for him to do, is to kill himself...... quite the bum deal. anyway, these 2 brothers have been partying all night, drunk as skunks, and one of them staggers out into the moor, and proceeds to meets his maker. the remaining brother wants revenge, but has sobered up now, and figures out that he'd better get some kind of ammunition... ....so he goes to see the gypsy-witch, to get some aconite (wolfsbane) and a spell here and a prayer there, and believes that he is well prepared, and he goes out to the moor to get his revenge. but that's not what he gets......

i use the older version of har bal 2.0 as a mastering EQ, between final 24 bit mixes, and mastering to 16 bit. works like a charm.

hey casyta, thanks for the kind words! it does have a little uplifting kind of effect, doesn't it? it's that hop beat, and the syncopation between the bass and guitars, gives it a lift thanks for listening!

great performances on this one, tom... the guitars, harp, bass, keys and voice, they're all hittin' i don't mind the satellites lift, you make it work with this arrangement...hell, even josh homme lifted a line from their tune on his latest QOTSA album...😁
