I really like this song.. as I have said before I love the vocals. Everyone paints a different picture... but that sound in the right speaker... not sure what it is sounds screechy and a little bit irritating to me. You have some amazing mixing skills Lynn,, I learn a lot listening to your tracks. Te Man from Uncle or a James Bond movie 🙂

Thanks for listening. I have just exported the song again and removed the first glitch. I will be adding a new mastered version soon... I've tried a professional guy and will let you all now when its done. Very exciting to see what a professional can do.

Yes I hear it now. But there are no switches... I think I have had this problem before when exporting... I think its the Sonarworks Plugin.

I didn't notice it when I exported the song.. Not sure if its Bandlab or Sonarworks that has done it!!!

I agree about the intro being a little long... got impatient for when it was going to change. 🙂 Today I bit the bullet and plugged in my new Orion Studio to my Focals. Some how I think it needs some sparkle/shimmer in the top end. Well done on your composition.

Reminds me of Eurovision entry! First I listened to the song without watching the video. Nice production and well mixed. I would like a little more bass... not much but it would drive it more.

Thank you all for your comments. I have remixed the above. Yesterday after talking to me son that my music has quite a bit of plate reverb on it. Then it was quite an eye opener as I am influenced by 80s-90s music.. which in those days had loads of reverb and bells in it 🙂 When I mix other peoples music I dont do it... how strange is that!!!! So I tried to mix this one with less reverb. Also the acoustic guitar is panned central n the first few bars then I move it out to right when all the instruments kick in. Does this give it more space? Thanks again for all the feedback appreciated.

Well I have now completed my first ever song that is written by myself. I couldn't have done it without all your advice and help. Feeling stoked!! Checkout the Simon's Song title in this forum and you can see the journey of improvement you all helped with.

i haven’t done anything much with the drums... i have been pulling my hair out for days trying to fix the accordion... just couldn’t get it. Then up pops Spak with a solution. I just couldn’t see the wood for the trees!! I was doubting my room and my monitors. Also I’m a sucker for technology and try all the latest stuff. The Izotope stuff was saying my mix was correct but my ears where telling me it was not. This is one of not so many times I have been stuck trying for a sound and was drawing a blank all the time. The drums won’t be a problem... i just needed to nail the accordion. I think this is the only mix I have been frustrated with. tried over and over again... but just couldn’t get that blooming squeeze box sorted. Thanks for the encouragement ... this is what I love about this site.

Thanks SpaK... great advice. I don't see you as being big headed at all. As I have said I ask for advice and comments... I wont people to be like my monitor speakers 🙂 The picture on SC is from my TV show on History Channel "Hoard Hunters" I think that was taken after I found a 40bc Gold coin 🙂
