Ha! Just found the exercise in a video!

We all know lots of vocalists use exercises to prepare their voices for singing, but I've always used the following exercise back when I was a DJ (1980-83) and before I did any voice-over work: It's called the "King Kong" exercise. Basically you say the following three phrases (in any order really) with the goal of stretching your vocal chords so you can have a lower pitched voice. "King Kong!" (at a comfortably low pitch) "Ding Dong!" (at a lower pitch) "Bing Bong!" (at an even lower pitch but where you extend that finally "onnnnnnnnnnnng" lower and lower) I like to run through it a few times varying the order of phrases. Works great!

When I heard that was coming out I tried to earn enough to buy one (I mean, 64k??! Wow!). But, by the time I had enough money, all sorts of new stuff had come out so I continued waiting. Until then I had to make do with Trash-80's and the first Apples ("Ooo!!! Color!!!").

Or, combine the last two suggestions! Doom-metal covers of Beach Boys songs off the Pet Sounds album using a baritone sax, an according and a bass harmonica with beats on 1 and 3!!! 👍🤩 (Not sure if adding a vuvuzela will help though...😆)

Bach was the first trance artist! His music is designed to put people into a suggestible state. He's certainly one of my Classical favorites.

I have a bottle entitled "Magic Pills" which contains, supposedly, these little pills that can cure anything. As long as you only take one, there are no side-effects, only positives. Heck, as you can see in the image below (which the person taking them doesn't see, they're asked to just swallow the pill without looking at it), even the pills have an "M" on them to show they're magical. It's been proved repeatedly with verifiable scientific studies that the odds of a particular outcome occurring double with a positive expectation in that outcome (I've been told by a teacher it's basic Psychology 101). This is why a lot of testing is done with animals because they aren't subject to the placebo effect. It also illustrates exactly how powerful our minds can be and, as I have said before, intent is the most important aspect. I have some actual events that proved this for me. On the other hand, I have also heard in a couple of my classes that if a person gets helped, does it really matter if it was via the placebo effect or not? All I know is that the placebo effect does not have any of the toxic side-effects that most of the mainstream pharmaceuticals do!

I'd MUCH rather listen to Andy's stuff than anything that counts as the Top-40 currently.
