Well Tom as so many did not hear it I went and had a quick listen and I can hear it. Here is the chain Guitar Rig 5 Pro with AC Box and Matched Cabinet and some vintage Verb, into AudioThing's Outerspace Distant Sea Preset (Tweaked this is an emulation of the Roland Space Echo) then into Arturia's Flanger BL-20 Fast Mod again Tweaked.
Now perhaps if you want to listen you might have an idea what you are listening for, squeaky bubbles I would say describes it.
Thanks for the ears and comment you are most kind. -

It is there buried in the back sometimes playing chords sometime picking a little, try listening toward the end it is a little more apparent there and it heavily disguised with delay and phase..
Many thanks for taking the time to have a listen and comment. -
That was a very pleasant interlude to this afternoon.

Nice cool groove again @Bill Campbell very clean mix nice and open, though it does sound a little centric here on the Adam's I can hear you have widened the EP support I just wonder if the leads could do with a touch of Pan or widening and/or stage positioning themselves.
I will add this did make the furry ears smile for the start.- 1

Not sure I would call them dance tunes, though you could dance to them Kevin. I had the misfortune to do some DJ work back in the days of KC and the Sunshine Band and the other bands you mentioned. Vocal on One, Two, Three, Four sounds a little strange here like you recorded it somewhere else.

Kurt do you use a Global Reverb? I find if you use a buss reverb, totally wet, that everything, including the bass and drums, has a little bit and I mean a little bit sent to it, you can create a single soundstage for all to sit in. I got this from a Sound on Sound article last century works for me.

I have heard him, but not of him?? my daughter got me a Nightmare before Christmas as she know I like somewhat off the wall/Tim Burton cartoons.
Thank you David glad it made you smile.

@Hidden Symmetry Thank you sir, not heard of him but listening now, the lead voice is just the filter on the D-72 self oscillating with a tiny tiny tiny bit of one oscillator mixed in.

@Anders Madsen I will stat by saying Adam A7x's on isolation stands, in a semi treated room.
I am not hearing anything in the mix that I would really want to crit mix wise. I can hear all the component parts the vocals is clear and present. Perhaps a little variation in that Hi Hat pattern but your song you know the feel and groove you wanted to create. -

Easy on the furry ears club jazz? the mix works reasonably here the lead is a little to forward for my taste and sounds somewhat in a different space that the band. Nice effort though thanks for sharing.
-
Classic four to the floor EDM should work for most in the clubs.
-
Easy on the ears, probably would sit well under some form of video as it is not overly intrusive but keep the furry ears happy.

Have to agree the bass needs to be a little more present but other than that you pretty much nailed it, thanks for sharing.
-
Driving track, yes I can hear how a real drummer or some more thoughtful drum programming could give this and edge. Other then that nice enough track the furry ears said they liked it.

Something that just sorted materialised and then would not go away.

Custom Built Les Paul through Guitar Rig 5 Pro (no not 6 yet might might not) and an Arturia FX you would use Phaser.
Softubes Model D-72
Toontrack's EZ Bass Rock Bass
Toontrack's Superior Drummer 3 Legacy of Rock
Arturia's Wurli V- 3

What is the model of your Adams?
A7x's I considered the 8's but then decided they might be a little big for my studio control room. I have contemplated an Adam's sub but so far I have not really found the need. If you go for any of the Adam's you will notice a real difference between them and the Rokit's, a much smoother overall response. I found all of the Rokits harsh when I was looking at replacing my Event 20/20's which were passive.
-
Interesting defiantly crying for some vocals, I would say to me here on my Adam's the top end is some what over prominent. It is not un like some of the early CD stuff it sounds digitally bright. Will come back for the version with vocals.
