  2. This has been discussed/agued/b1tched about so many times over the years that it's now as relevant as arguing whether 33 or 45 RPM records have better fidelity. But... this isn't a Bandlab's issue it's a Gibson issue - please log all complaints regarding lifetime licensing on one of their forums. BTW no offense intended but it does get tiring hearing/reading the same complaints over & over. I too like many others got caught in this lifetime license scam and feel that legally Gibson should have been slapped for doing it.

  3. Almost 40 years ago I bought my first acoustic piano, a baby grand made in Korea by Yeoung Chang. It was the most expensive thing I'd ever purchased short of my first home, so I had to finance it over 10 years. While I was in the piano store waiting for the contract to be drawn up, I walked around the room plinking on every piano in there. When I sat down at one of them, the hairs on my arms stood up. It was incredibly responsive and had a lightning-fast action. But it was the amazing tone that got me excited, bright and harmonically rich. I ran to the sales office and said "hold everything! I fear I'm about to make a big mistake - I have found the perfect piano!". The salesman barely looked up from the paperwork when he said "that piano's $60,000". OK then, carry on I said, crushed. This was in the mid-80's. For perspective, my aforementioned house had cost $43K. That piano was a Yamaha C7. Many years later, I'd come to acquire multiple sampled Yamahas. For a whole lot less money. It's still my favorite piano tone for rock 'n roll. Alicia's Keys is sampled from a similar model. Although itself a rarity (only a few were ever built), at its heart it's that classic Yamaha sound. When you hit a low note, it's got some real gravity to it. You just want to play the theme from Jaws. For $13, I am tempted to pick this one up despite having three or four nice Yamaha libraries already.

  8. It has been a while since I have been able to participate on the Forum. A lot has been posted -- I have a lot of catching up to do. Here is a little number about a guy dealing with his best friend who is trying to "snake" his girlfriend. Gee, has anyone experienced this -- like in high school? This song is very rough since it has been a while since I have attempted a song. My wife and I have been sharing CoVid for the past few weeks. I am going to use that as an excuse for the vocals. They are a bit rough (the high notes were hard to reach and sustain). I am planning to re-do them as soon as I get my voice back but I thought that I would request some feedback in order to correct other errors as well. Overall, I was looking for a live performance in a small venue feel - so - complete perfection isn't necessary but clean-up is. Thanks in advance! 10. It segues into another song (Elric the Enchanter Part II) on the album. Thanks to everyone for the input: I have the software tools to play with the delay (tri-chorus is one, although I know the Space Echo was in use at that time) and RAT. Then play with the amp - I think speakers will make a huge difference too.

  11. Yeah! That was easy this time. I finally got someone both comfortable enough with pc workings and with a decent hotspot connection and the job was fixed in a flash! Connected pc to hotspot Downloaded and ran the latest EA CbB activated immediately and he's back in the groove! Thanks to all for the pointers and thoughts!

  12. Just bought Alicia's Keys. Sounds good from breif initial auditions of the presets. I also got UAD's Polymax as a freebie and 50p back in virtual cash. No brainer.

  13. It's been out for over a decade so lots of us, probably! It's good. Very playable and a distinctive, tight timbre. Not one I'd pull up to practice with, but good at fitting in with other spunds imo. I wouldn't buy it at full or even half price because I think you can get a lot more for $50. But I'd def pay $13 for it!

  15. I feel it would be great if our community subscribed to each other. If we all did it, it would boost our numbers significantly. We could debate the merits of Youtube's benefits and flaws but for me, it's still the only platform I get to keep a piece of my soul with. Anyone that subscribes to me, leave your link here and I will oblige. P.S I am in a subscriber count contest with one of my artists and she is winning so there's a little more motivation... https://www.youtube.com/@TreblecockStudio

On its own, as a monthly or annual service (separate from any other product or subscription), 2. Included in Waves Creative Access (Ultimate and Essential) subscriptions. Starting today: Early-Access Beta Starting today, we are sharing Waves Stream in Early-Access Beta mode with our Waves Creative Access subscribers, in order to collect early feedback about the service and optimize it. After the Early-Access Beta period is over, Waves Stream will be released as a separate service to everyone, as described above. 17. EDITED: To better identify exported audio clips, request project - track - clip name - [#](#) format, same as MIDI clips. Current: 1. When dragging to export single audio clips, file name reflects ONLY the clip name (#). 2. When dragging to export multiple audio clips from one track, they are bounced together and file name changes to reflect ONLY the project name (#). clips: files: Which is which??

  18. Try adding a Tri-Stereo Chorus to moderate gain tone. The Dynatronics Tri Stereo chorus was used extensively in the 80's, I think Eventide had one too. But there are many other options these days in pedals and software plugins that fit the bill. Sounds good clean or distorted, and on lead tone.

  20. Thanks for the reply. @Jesse Jost It’s seems stupid that a lot of us are still installing ancient versions of Sonar and installing CCC just to grab a few plug ins. Every time you do a new install it’s this crazy process to get to the point we’re all things Cakewalk are up to speed. A one stop automated app would be a dream come true. I will personally thank staff for keeping all that legacy software available and assistance for the fools that lost their passwords to the account. It would be way to much to ask that staff be involved in transferring legacy products from CCC to CPC so a suggestion. Have a tool as part of CPC that says “ Import Legacy Products “ You’d click it and it would take you to your old products page? Just wishful thinking ? Your Loyal customer: John.

  23. Hey John, you're on the right track here. More products will be made available through CPC over time, but there are no plans for this to become a legacy product utility or a 1:1 replacement of Command Center. There is a possibility we may reprise from some components from the past to make them available to customers through CPC, but I can't commit to specifics at this time.

  42. @pulsewalk - yes, this looks like an envelope bug. We've seen this from time to time, but unfortunately it's almost impossible to reproduce. If you can get an envelope in a project in the state before this happens, with a reliable recipe for editing it to get it into that state afterwards, then please let us know. The only thing you can do is edit the envelope to put it back to a sensible state.

  43. what i do is add the image to a project file (which is my template also) then save it as a project file. next - rename the file to <templatename>.cwt. the image is now part of the template and as subsequent project saves from that template. move (or copy) that file into your project templates folder.
