  10. One article said they had plans to include a Play Mode for existing owners. If anyone finds out when they implement that, please share, and if you know, how to invoke Play Mode. I like using individual instruments to design sounds and Analog Lab V to use them (less CPU / Graphics resources), but from what I read about Play Mode, that would work very well, too. BTW, I don't know how long its been out or if others in the forum mentioned it already, but yesterday I saw there was a free 32 preset sound pack that was "new to me" (Modern Lab) . Apologies to those who already know about this; please don't take me to task. UPDATE: Modern Lab might be new. It is listed as being for Analog Lab Play.

  17. It's even easier than that. Right inside Analog Lab you click on "Store" and then on "Free". It will show you all free soundbanks that you can use in Analog Lab and allows you to download it directly from there. There's another cool feature that I personally only realized rather late, and I have no idea how well known this is. I can imagine that it's often overlooked: You can preview most soundbanks that you don't own by clicking on them in the store inside Analog Lab. You can use any preset that isn't marked with a lock as if you owned it, by playing MIDI files or your MIDI controller. You just can't save the preset.

  18. Awesome find, I installed it immediately! Very good presets actually. Also, just in case it was unknown, presets from other Arturia instruments also work with Analog Lab, so if you go to sounds, then press FREE (first filter option) and then select every instrument except MatrixBute, MicroFreak and PolyBrute Connect, you get a list with free presets that are compatible with Analog Lab. These are: Marc Houle's Signature: https://www.arturia.com/sounds#marc_houles_signature (does not seem to work with the url, but will show up if you apply the filters) Ariel Proksa's Signature: https://www.arturia.com/sounds#ariel_proksas_signature Past To The Future: https://www.arturia.com/sounds#past_to_the_future Lyli’s Signature: https://www.arturia.com/sounds#lylis_signature Iconic Vibration: https://www.arturia.com/sounds#iconic_vibration Percussive Drive: https://www.arturia.com/sounds#percussive_drive And of course the free Analog Lab presets: Vintouch Vol 1: https://www.arturia.com/sounds#vintouch_vol_1 JSPA: https://www.arturia.com/sounds#jspa A couple of 3rd party free ones: Spores: https://shop.whoisjbeats.com/products/spores-analog-v-preset-bank-40-presets Amiriaga: https://shop.whoisjbeats.com/products/amiriaga-analog-v-preset-bank-midi-kit Iridescence: https://jukeboxjuice.net/blog/free-analog-lab-preset-bank-iridescence-14355 and for a limited time free (another 9 days) on VstAlarm (I think it has already been posted here before), Orchid: https://vstalarm.com/product/orchid-analog-lab-bank-by-audio-juice-limited-time-free/ and finally Vicious Antelope has many free Arturia (and others) presets: https://www.viciousantelope.com/presets-for-synths?Pack+Type=Free+Preset+Packs I couldn't find a setting to change the GUI to the new Play Mode though. Maybe for the time being, the only way to get the new GUI is downloading and installing the free version I guess, but I haven't tried that. Also while browsing the free Analog Lab page, I saw this preset pack: https://www.arturia.com/support/analoglabplaydownloading#starcadians_signature which doesn't have a price, so maybe it is also free, but does not seem to be working at the moment, maybe it is an upcoming one?

  19. Tom, I did a test many years ago (when my ears were a lot better than they are now) - this involved putting an extremely long reverb tail on the end of a track and automatin the volume WAY up as the tail decayed. This was then sent through all the different dither options, one at a time and then listening to each of them afterwards. The winner was Powr-3 as the decay was a lot smoother than any of the others

  20. Inspired by the King's topic on bullshit plugins: How about a (name and shame?) bullshit marketing thread? Is it deals related? Maybe, it often is ("get it now, we can't maintain these prices for long"). What got me going was the absolutely unreadable text for the Relab Maselec MEA-2 Precision Stereo EQ plug-in. Then came the Quickmuse where I read the whole description and still had NO clue what is was, up until I was at around 75% of the entire text where it kinda dropped some hints it was an effect. I had to doublecheck the Plugin Boutique URL to see what this thing is. But also the Waves sales prices definitely qualify for a bullshit award. Or Plugin Alliance. A Brainworx Clipper for $249?! You're not fooling anyone, except perhaps newcomers. But, to give PA credit, that particular product page is actually very informative almost without any buzzwords. I do have a feeling the testimonials are on the BS scale, but I'm not against all marketing, it's fine. I know that writing a well structured marketing text with the right balance between promotion and product info is an art in of itself. This could be something a developer isn't particularly good at (and there's no shame in that). So I have the feeling a lot of these things are generated by ChatGPT, and it shows. For me, such practices put me off. If I can't read your text, have no clue what you are selling me, or if I get the feeling I'm being scammed with the price, I'm out. Any thoughts?

  29. Haven't updated this thread in a while so just wanted to let you guys know some of the latest updates we've made: Added sidebar with extra navigation options like Top 20 synths, Top 100 Products etc. Added a newsletter (signup in the sidebar) where we send just 1 email per week with a curated list of the "best" audio plugin deals. This means we're not sending a list of hundreds of them, but just what we feel are the best ones that deserve your time. Improved the database so page loads faster. There were quite a few database errors lately as traffic and data grows so we made a lot of improvements here and are in the process of moving hosting which should speed it up by around 3X Added tags to product pages so you can see what category a product is in, click on that category and see more. Made it default to not show products that are preset / expansion packs, upgrades, crossgrades, education versions etc. as they clutter up the search results. However, you can show them in the "More Options" under the search results Added the filter for showing the product types mentioned above (presets / upgrades etc.) to every manufacturer page to again not clutter up results. We added more sorting options to the front page along with the table format Right now we're currently looking at improving the homepage because we're finding most people who visit the website aren't too interested in seeing the latest deals (or at least not in that current format) so we're looking to optimise the layout of the front page to show more information on everything going on. Also, tagging is still in progress as its hard to manually tag over 17k products, but we're getting there! Would love to hear your feedback if you have any

  32. Thanks, TheSteven for posting a working link. I was at work and didn't have time to post a link so I posted a screen capture to get the message out. I assumed a fine person here would fill in the missing link. Anyways, this is a "lite" version of the PSP "Stomp Delay". The full Stomp Delay has some additional features and buttons. This lite version has the same sound, though. This is like an Echoplex tape echo, complete with the delay time slider. The feed back can be turned up greater than 100% to get those classic runaway tape repeats with nice saturation.

  39. My upgrade offer is almost twice the price of last year's offer. It was debatable then, a definite pass now. Maybe it's a decent deal if you're just now buying in but going from Signature to the All Plugins bundle where the only change is getting "new" plugins that only work in FL Studio? Nah...

  43. NO! I’m 48-24, render at 32. There was a time when “checking “ the 64 bit double precision could cause issues. But it’s “best practice”. For some reason I mistook your post to mean you were rendering at 24 bit. My guess is that in a “dense” mix it probably doesn’t matter. Let’s face it, the “good old tape days” were “noisy”, every pass degraded the signal… We live in the “golden” age, but just can’t see the forest for the trees. (trite, I know, but the truth nonetheless) Take care my friend, always a fan! t

  46. Nah. I'd tried that. For the products that require the code "BLACK" or "BLACK2" to get the discount, the extra 10% code doesn't appear to work. It's possible it works on the select few items labeled as "NO CODE NEEDED", though. Those appear to be mostly bundles or recent releases marked back to their intro prices. Edited to add: If you're interested in a lib that doesn't offer the additional discount, Plugin Boutique appears to be matching the sale for most or all items (and will have new freebies-with-purchase to mull over tomorrow): https://www.pluginboutique.com/manufacturers/280-Have-Audio
