  1. I thought I would share some fun news. Tonight on ABC at 7:00 PM EST, I will be on America’s Funniest Home Videos. I am not sure where in the program, but keep a look out for someone talking about the hazards of lawnmowers and bees ?

  3. Thanks for listening everybody, someday I would like to buy you all a round, by the crystal blue lake, in the opening of the pines, and we could sit around and shoot the breeze, and laugh about stupid stuff, and have another round, and then tell some stupid jokes, and eat some BBQ, and all that stuff people do when they are hanging out, having a good time, on a sun shiny day, with all the folks we love, and everybody getting along, like light a clean fire, and watch the sunset and watch the milky way spin in the heavens, and then when it gets way past midnight we all head go to our tents and fall asleep with a smile on our faces. Then I could make a stiff pot of coffee, and have some breakfast food, and jump in the lake to freshen up, and then go fo a hike-if you wanted to- and then take a nap, and have a little lunch and then do it all over again, I wish Thanks for listening everybody, someday I would like to buy you all a round, by the crystal blue lake, in the opening of the pines, and we could sit around and shoot the breeze, and laugh about stupid stuff, and have another round, and then tell some stupid jokes, and eat some BBQ, and all that stuff people do when they are hanging out, having a good time, on a sun shiny day, with all the folks we love, and everybody getting along, like light a clean fire, and watch the sunset and watch the milky way spin in the heavens, and then when it gets way past midnight we all head go to our tents and fall asleep with a smile on our faces. 5. Is it bad I have to check my PA account first if I own plugins on sale because I can’t remember if I do or don’t before I use coupon?

  6. Ya, I don’t always agree with Melda how they value purchases towards bundles. I do have a few gripes. But that’s for another thread.... Here is a video about differences and ideas how to use MB version that helped me out a bit.

  7. There are no specific changes to the engine that would affect the core behavior, if anything CbB is a lot more efficient. You are probably running into Windows 7 legacy stuff. Cakewalk is compiled with the latest Microsoft tools compared to SONAR and perhaps that may account for some minor differences. More likely you have tweaked your system for SONAR in some ways and CbB is configured differently. Re crashes please submit any crashes you encounter for investigation. There are details in my sig about crash dumps. We've fixed hundreds of crashes that occurred in SONAR so CbB is more stable for most people by a long shot.

  8. Like some other developers with roots in making UAD plug-ins PA does not provide a preset manager in their plug-ins. AFAIK, Unfiltered Audio is the only line the offers built -in preset managers. Instead they rely on the plug-in host for preset management. Maybe one day the rest will have built-in preset managers. The Cakewalk preset manager handles DX and VST but not VST3. The VST3 drop down to the right of the preset manager can load VST3 presets. Unfortunately, the way paths are handled in this drop down can make working with VST3 presets difficult. PA VST3 presets are stored in your Documents\VST3 Presets\Plugin Alliance folder

LIAISONS IN THE DARK PT1 She was sitting all alone on the bedroom chair Whisky numbed the pain of those years gone by She wondered through those playing cards that,we all know so well But just came up empty and she began to cry She never saw the truth in his words full of deception He played her for a fool and the dots made no connection And if it happened all again would she have known inside And would he really ever cared for the many time she cried Searching for a reason, but it doesn't come You try so hard to fight it but you just felt numb FEMAIL VOX 'Cause I have tried, tried and tried Feel drained nothings the same coming home to somewhere else ….It's going to take this fight in the end … M8 Now she's left that all behind her, she likes to be alone She keeps her heart protected, a sweet smile made of stone She doesn't need love no more, and reminds herself each day That men will always break your and leave you anyway And I guess it's true, I have to say When I see her quite by chance, She looked a million dollars but within a fleeting glance I swear I saw an emptiness where love had always been It was then I realised she was just a beauty queen

  14. Normally I record clean signal for further reamping, so in this case my chain is: Guitar->Tube DI-box->AI->DAW. Here's a recent example I quickly put together while demoing S1V (random noodling over some weird chords, so bear with my playing): https://disk.yandex.ru/d/SOLm1GR5ewSxFQ Let me know if you want my preset for E765RT.

  16. Yes, in Cakewalk I tried many different PA VST3s and all the ones I tried had the same issue. Haven't had time to check other DAWs.

  17. @jack c. and @wookie Thank you guys for listening and commenting. I wish you a happy easter. @David Sprouse David we are glad you like the production, and yes, it did take some time, about 4-5 months. However, I must say that we did not always have time for it and therefore could not work on it every day. Happy Easter.

  18. I thought the video was very watchable and I wonder where was that festival of lights? Those guitars and drums are very strong and the bass sat in the mix nicely. In the beginning I thought "this is going to be satanic" but by the end I realized it seemed Christian rock. So now I'm just confused good one, thanks! cheers, -Tom

  19. On another Plugin Alliance subject altogether - the presets don't work on any of the VST3 versions, the presets on VST2 versions work fine. Edit: updated images for clarity. Note that correct way to access VST3 presets in my follow up post lower↓

  21. I haven't seen the movie or heard of this soundtrack piece before, it's pretty neat! I realize the tuning in spots is intentionally sacrificed for creepy effect - but the guitar panned left was a bit flat I think - 1:16 as an example. I really don't know if it matters, might be something to check if it's not your dissonant intention. A cool listen, thanks! cheers, -Tom

  24. This is a good one. I think I have ignored them for a long time now. But they are stupid. I think I’ll add things like “ feed Jack the Cat” Take dinner out of the freezer tune your guitar don’t forget to turn off the monitors before shutting down

  27. Love the beginning blast off bit! Same as David, I got a moving thru space kind of feeling. Love the transitions as the journey continues. 6:00 change up is kind of abrupt, almost like a different song starting in. Gonna put this one in my top 5 Wookie hits. -Bjorn

  28. That was so immersive and captivating. Great use of space. I'm on a new laptop and not used to the groove player so I'm sure not going to make any suggestions. It sounded Great here. Loved the way you let everything drop out and down near the end. Very much enjoyed it .. mark

  34. Hello almost any development standard! Most are too complicate and often some definitions are being omitted (not defined), because some companies disagree. And then there are the theorists (no, I did not say terrorists, even if it was not completely untrue! ?) who tend to endlessly blow up the specification!

  38. I had paid for Cakewalk, and updates for years. Spent a lot of money on it. I love the software. The last update I did with Cakewalk was supposed to be all updates free there on out. I was most disappointed when they sold to Bandlab as I had never heard of it. I must admit since Bandlab has taken over I think it has been great. I don't know how they do it for free and even keep updating the software. I really appreciate it.

  39. What makes you think this? There is a stable release now that came out about 60 days ago. How often do you usually get updates of your audio software? Other companies take way longer to issue updates than BandLab. Some even years or never. Usually with Cakewalk, when it takes longer than usual the next release will include some fab new features. Now that most of the longstanding bugs have been dealt with, we've seen biggies like the Arranger Track and Articulations Map. Maybe there's something new in the works. Maybe the developers took some time off. Whatever, 2 months is not a long time to wait for an update of DAW software.

  40. My Cakewalk shuts up on occasion. For example, if I have Cakewalk running and try to do too many other audio things on my PC, such as running some standalone soft synths, Cakewalk gets insulted and says, "I'm not gonna play any more until you give me some love and press my buttons in a good way!" ?

  43. You need to have your old Cakewalk.com account to get access to your old stuff. If you forgot it then you have to contact Bandlab support.
