Lazy River (Gary Brun Master)

Hello , here's an instrumental (for now) I'm finishing up. The guitar parts have been written for a Long time but I've never gotten around to finishing the song. I pecked around on a piano synth to get some of the melody going and may address vocals later if I think it's worth the effort.   Any suggestions would be helpful at this point.   Thanks for the listen ..    mark     -remix 1-

I like the piano melody but I think it should be brought forward and made the main focus when it's there, maybe simplify the other stuff when it's playing, it's a nice melody. The guitars get a bit chaotic sounding at times and give the feeling of being out of time. I think with some refinement it could be really nice.

Excellent Mark. I really enjoyed that. I do agree  sometimes it's a bit too busy(for my taste) but it still flows in a cool, funky way.

Like KSband, I'd like to hear just a bit more give and take between instruments in some sections. But it's still a very cool track with some tasteful, funky playing on each instrument. Bravo 👏

@treesha , @KSband , @equality , @T Boog     Thank You for the listens and comments and suggestions.

 The link now reflects a remix trying to address the issues in your comments.  I've tried to settle the guitars down some with automation and a few cuts and fades. I also side chained them to the piano getting them out of the way a little more. I slightly boosted the piano and cleaned some notes up. Bass guitar was boosted and crash cymbol replaced. I also backed all the reverbs off.   I still feel as if it's missing "something" and is a little too contemporary .  I'll get away from it for a few days and see what hits me afterwards. Let me know what I missed .

Thanks ..  mark

I think it sounds great now. I try to think of something similar. Don and Dave Grusin? No. I think you've got something unique here. It's like a chaotic but yet a very structured jam. How this can be? I don't know.🤔 You've got the answer. Very impressive! 👏
