My Last Teaspoon of Honey

Jane Laws

Recommended Posts

For the past year I have been performing quite a few gigs. The response and audience connection to My Last Teaspoon of Honey has encouraged me back into my home studio.

My Last Teaspoon of Honey is another of my simple mixes. I decided to create a music video and I'm excited with the outcome.

Looks forward to hearing what you think.

Left comment and like over at YT. Hope the rest of the community will as well.
Very beautifully done, so tender; much enjoyed Jane.
I was listening on my phone, into my hearing aids, so perhaps that’s why the guitar is so low in the mix. If I was producing, I turn the guitar up. Only crit from me.

Beautiful and heartfelt. The guitar needs to be brought up more as already mentioned.
I was in Australia a couple of years ago, up in the Darwin area and down in Tasmania for nature photography. Had a great time and I really want to go back.

Thanks for the feedback.

I was also thinking the guitar was a little low. I spent quite some time on this issue. When I increased the guitar the bottom end started to sound muddy and boomy, which I just couldn't get under control.

When played back it sounds different on different sound systems, which adds to my confusion.

Also huge thanks DeeringAmps for the YT comment, they really help to promote the video.

Very beautiful song indeed. As others suggested I'd also turn up the guitar a bit. Vocal is great as well but the roomy reverb doesn't go along with the outdoor video. Some nitpicking, overall a great performance and composition.
