Wookiee Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Just another track possibly inspired by the Gas Giants of our Galaxy. Created using Toontrack's SD3 Orchestral 1 and EZBass. Arturia's DX7. Cherry Audio's MemoryMood and Mercury 4 ( their take on the Jupiter 4) Korg's Triton extreme. Thanks for listening. 5
Barry Seymour Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 I foresee a future for you in scoring science fiction epics. Good stuff! Love the crunchy bass on the bottom; is that analog? 1
Wookiee Posted September 20, 2021 Author Posted September 20, 2021 @Barry Seymour It's Toontrack's EZBass re-amped through a Guitar Rig 5 bass amp. Thanks for the ears and the comment.
Larry T. Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 (edited) outstanding ambient sci-fi....Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune if they were songs this would be one of them....i love sci-fi....before i got into CbB and recording a month or so ago i listened to podcasts by Sean Carroll who i'm sure you know of....if not, i'd recommend his podcasts as he covers a wide range of topics including black holes, string theory, quantum physics...to quote from his site: "science, society, philosophy, culture, arts and ideas". Here is a link: https://www.preposterousuniverse.com/ Thanks for the music ?☀️??? Edited September 22, 2021 by Larry T. clarity. 1
bjornpdx Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Wookie I like that growly bass that somehow fits the image of a gas giant planet. I never would have guessed that was EZBass via Guitar Rig if that's what it is. Nice one. -Bjorn 1
Old Joad Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Agreed, sounds amazing in my headphones? 1

Thanks for listening @bjornpdx your time and ears as ever are appreciated. Here is what I used to get the Bass sound. Toontrack's EZBass > Classic Rock instrument with the Peddle Board -Flanger preset > NI's Guitar Rig 5 80ites Slap Bass Preset > Boz Digitals David Bendeth +10dB Compressor using Parallel Compression > CbB's Quad EQ.

When I'm on my phone SC does not automatically log me in. I always forget this (there are 3 sure signs of old age.....) and SC blows up in my face when I try to "like" the track. t 1

I did just hear on an old Topgear with J leno on it that you can get a device to secure your laptop to your steering wheel so you can drive use your laptop, he said it was apparently legal to use?
David Sprouse Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 beautifully blue uranus. Really liked it when you broke out the arpeggiator; I think my blood pressure increased a little. There are lots of nice contrasting timbres. 1
PhonoBrainer Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 I agree with Mr. Sprouse, the contrasting timbres keep it interesting. Well chosen. Sorry but gas giant made me think of myself after dinner. Your soundtrack doesn't work at all for that. I always enjoy whatever space your songs are in. cheers, -Tom 1

Glad you heard the same one as I was as this fell out of the paws.
Wookiee Posted September 27, 2021 Author Posted September 27, 2021 @PhonoBrainer thanks for the ears and comments, sorry I am unable to soothe the bloating, I will say no more just don't go bang.
KSband Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 It reminds me of Dark side of the moon, has that moody feel. 1
