  1. My boot drive is a Samsung 870 Evo SSD. I just upgraded my Samples drive to 16TB (45% full). AFAIK I have no streaming libraries. I also keep my Dropbox desktop app access there too. My Projects drive is 2TB (about 60% full). Getting close to upgrading to a new drive (probably 4TB this time). What would an M.2 internal SSD do for me?
  2. TruDat! ? However, I'm jumping off the BIAB wagon this year. I have simply not used it enough of late (I also did not upgrade to 2021 either).
  3. @DeeringAmps I paid $1000 for my ever slightly used 1976 Series 1 in 1977 (MSRP was $2000). A quick web search says today's value of 1977 $1000 is $4475. After 45 years it does not strike me that my $1000 was any real investment. Footnote: The guy I bought it from was a P-Bass collector/seller. He admitted he did not know much about Alembics. It belonged to a young student (12 years old) of his who was unable to play the long scale. That is why he priced it "fairly" at 50% off the retail price.
  4. My 'off the shelf' Series I sold new for $2000 in 1976, today a 1976/77 Series I tends to be in the $6-8K range. Fixed for those who did not get the implied "used" value I was referring to. ?
  5. FWIW a Series I today is $30,500.00usd.
  6. Since that one is a custom build it's hard to say if it was an "investment". My 'off the shelf' Series I sold new for $2000 in 1976, today a 1976/77 Series I tends to be in the $6-8K range. This one is on Reverb right now for $5.5k, The body wood is rather plain compared to mine but other than the few worn spots it's a pretty good find for anyone who wants a 'vintage' Alembic for under $6K. Here's my 1976 Series I

    I am officially BOLD!

Except for the fact: I (officially) stopped playing guitar after three years and switched to bass. I still play guitar with the skills of that time frame, so 4 guitars are, for me, extremely un-paltry. ?
  10. I use my countertop. That way I don't have to stoop to the floor to make (wonder) bread.
  11. With 14 bass guitars to my name as well as 4 guitars and a drum set to boot.
  12. His dad was 10 in 1964 watching The Beatles on Ed Sullivan, I was 11 (did I ever mention The Beatles landed in NY on my birthday in 1964?)

  14. For the Am tuning? DUH!
  15. I did it too. Not that I actually needed it but it's def a cool looking mic and it will be a nice addition to my mic locker for under 100 bones.
  16. Pistol Pete will be jelly for sure.
  17. Tuned to Am of course

    Just a thought....

But would some of the people THERE soon become some of the people HERE (unscrupulous humans being what they are)?
