  1. Ah just thought to try it in Reason - the hearts and the arrows both show up there but not in CbB!
  2. It is obviously recognising liked presets that I chose in AL4 as there are entries in the Liked tab but no way to favourite the AL5 presets Clicking where the hearts should be seems to reorder the presets! Very strange! Also I notice the GUI isn't showing the increment / decrement preset arrows in the active preset box - though if I click where they should be the presets respond as they should do
  3. Thanks for that but I don't have the hearts column down the left hand side as shown in your screen shot
  4. Welcome back indeed! A great (re)starting point are Mike's videos here - he has a whole series on CbB and is an entertaining teacher. There are several other great free learning resources - check out the tutorial sub forum. The guys here are really helpful & friendly as well of course and you can learn a lot just from reading through the various topics! There's a couple of freeware threads in the Instruments sub forum for instruments and effects if you want to build up your VST stash! Good luck!
  5. I'm only getting free stuff unless Best Service reduces Tarilonte's Duduk 'Desert Winds' to £30 or less!
  6. I know I should RTFM but how do you choose favorites in AL 5 Lite - in 4 there's a heart button but I can't see anything similar in 5. I'm probably not looking hard enough - it was late last night when I was trying to find it!
  7. I'd add that the APro series can be very tempremental in my experience sometimes requiring a restart of CbB or the PC to work (might just be me of course!)
  8. I can't see anything wrong with that set up. Check that you are transmitting midi channel 1 and the track you are playing into is set to receive that, Omni or all
  9. You do need an audio interface if you are planning to record audio (vocals, guitar etc) but if, like me, you are only working with midi it is not essential as you can usually use your computer's on board sound chip which I've been doing for years now
  10. Try Mike's video here where he connects a midi keyboard to his PC to use in Cakewalk - you have a USB connection so just ignore the first bit where he talks about midi connections! Good luck!
  11. You should be able to get a USB cable with that shape at one end as it's the same as my keyboard and many printers
  12. Ah yes I'd forgotten that. When the guy at Production Expert, who I won it via, said 'I'll ask Jesus if he can upgrade you' I thought he very good connections!
  13. I was lucky enough to win this in a Production Expert competition a while back - I won the full Kontakt version but when I said I didn't have Kontakt they gave the the Kontakt Player version instead. Very nice piano - samples take a while to load but not that surprising!
  14. That was the whole point of the operation but they managed to persuade a sufficient number of people it was about other stuff ?
  15. The free Hammersmith Keys (check the Deals forum) is well rated by Mike at Creative Sauce. Sounded pretty good in his short demo of it
  16. It's all very depressing ? All for blue passports and some fish
  17. Excluding all the amazing free stuff this year..... I'm still working my way through Total Studio Max that I got at very competitive JRR upgrade pricing as I already had an IK compressor that I have never used which was free with Computer Music At the other end of the scale it is either Rob Papen Go2, that I got for £6.60 with T&S loyalty points, which seems a very capable synth or Zero G's World Collection for £10 - I haven't had the time to start looking through that yet!
  18. Ah thought that was him. That is very sad ?
