To make music with your wife is one of the treasures of life. The recording was so clear that I felt I was there; Sweet, unhurried, and ethereal.

bit we are finite but we are not without spunk "Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light." Dylan Thomas

If you won the Lotto, what would you do with it?
Jesse Screed replied to Mesh's topic in The Coffee House
I would employ all the greatest minds and thinkers to figure out how I could get back to reality, because in reality, I won't win the lotto, and I want to never leave it, reality that is. -
This song made me feel sad but optimistic, especially knowing that when I'm feeling down I can seek out some real super supa reels, and remember al the cool things about my life.

Hello jack c Thanks for listening I will be completely honest with you. I can not read music and I don't use notation, and that is not something I'm proud of or happy about. In a lot of ways it is very limiting to not be able to read and write notation. I'll never be able to hang with proper musicians who do and can read music. Basically I am a hack who pretends to be an artist. I play rudimentary guitar. I know the major and minor scales in a few positions, and I know that blues scale thing. I know major and minor chords at the open position and can play bar chords. I have learned about three other songs on guitar, mostly no more than 4 chords, and generally just three. I mess around on the keyboard but don't know at all what I am doing. I try to listen close and then play what might sound good to me. I have some cool tools like Rapture, ezdrum ezkeys bass jamstix and lots of ni products none of which I really know how to use. I also have many other products which I rarely use. I used to spend a lot of time in the deals forum thinking that was the answer to my lack of training, but all I did was spend lots of money that I could have just as easily given to the food bank and it would have done a lot of people more good than it has done for me. I use Sonar for my DAW and could easily have gotten by on just the stock plugs and vsti that come with it. I mostly only ever use an empty project when I start recording. A lot of times I start with a drum track, but this time I recorded the vocals first, then I just played along with my guitar, and then added some other stuff. I record to pass some time in the early evenings. Then, I can't help myself and just HAVE to post my expressions in the song forum, because you know, "it's just so damn good."? If one person listens to it I will be happy, and also to save it somewhere else. I know basically that it is the ravings of my inner mad dog, kind of interesting like an accident on the freeway as you pass by, although most accidents get more comments than my expressions. I am not a good song forum member because I rarely comment on other songs, sometimes it is because all the talent that is presented there by great songwriters musicians and producers that I end up just saying the same things over and over, "Wow, that was awesome." Mostly I don't comment because I am lazy and selfish. Was that TMI? Of course it was, but I feel that if anyone reads it they will understand a little more about just who I am and how I express myself. I have been compared to a lot of people, but really, any comparison is just an accident. But I have fun doing it and I think it helps me stay young and keeps my synapses working. Peace jack c, keep up the great work with your music.

Not trying to nitpick, but when I open Sonar and click Help>About Sonar The license for Sonar is labeled as :Lease I do have a membership to backstage pass. I will let others determine if a lease is a subscription or what not. I hope that there will be a non sub model offered at official release. I still have my "lifetime updates" invoice for the Gibson Sonar?

Hey Wookiee, I hope you don;t think this is rude. Could you lease give me some time positions of the nonmusical parts? I only ask because I like to have a balance of musical and non musical So my mixes and arrangements are better.

All thoughts are welcome and I am so thankful for you taking the time to comment. Personally, I think that Kaptajn Beefheart sounds like me, a little bit, moistly though he do him I do me.

I purchased the backstage pass Sonar yearly "lease" when it was 30% off. I also have CwB on my machine. Was tracking in Sonar and saved the project. As usual Chromaphone crashed Sonar (always did the same thing in CwB. Sonar would not restart, CwB generally doesn't start in the instance either. I had to do the shutdown computer /restart. Opened Sonar project and it was deactivated, couldn't save projects until I logged into my bandlab account and reactivated. I must mention that there was also a Sonar update to be downloaded. It was kind of a pain in the keister because I have the 1 year lease paid in full. Sure, it was a simple click, click, click, click, click, but it was annoying. as an aside Melodyne wanted to update, but I ignored that.

song deleted Well the banker man said he’d take the farm Daddy tried to do the best that he could And the rain just wouldn’t come And the corn wouldn’t grow Daddy tried to hold on as long as he could The banker man came to take the farm the heat it came and the corn it shriveled everything and now we just don’t know The banker man be coming pretty soon The well dried up Momma filled it with tears The wind blew the dust and now it’s everywhere The banker man will take the farm Can’t get no relief from the local store The notes come due and we know for sure Seems the banker man coming pretty soon Daddy got the shotgun And said he’d stand his ground Cause this dirt was what his pappy passed down Mother gathered the kids And hid out in the barn She couldn’t stand to watch what was going down Couldn’t stop daddy from what he did Well the banker man came to take the farm Didn’t seem quite right what he did Well the shots rang out And the blood was spilled The banker man laying very still That’s the day the rain started to come That’s the day the rain started to come And everything grew just like it should but the judge strung daddy up Just as the corn was growing Momma packed up the mule And led us down the road Didn’t seem quite right what the did Didn’t seem quite right what the did Didn’t seem quite right what the did When the banker man came to take the farm
