Plugin Boutique 3-for-10 October Plugins Bundle $10
Nick Blanc replied to pseudopop's topic in Deals
Actually, I really like Ruina. And it's free! It comes in handy with raw techno leads. -
I've let go of my self entitlement in regards to paid-for plugins which are now free. Not to say that I won't ever feel cross, but I can't begrudge someone who got something for free where I have paid for it. And I can't fault a company who canges their marketingplan. I love the Kilohearts ecosystem and the way they now give A LOT of value to producers is commendable. So I paid a bit 'too much' in retrospect. I could have made my lunch at home this morning instead of going out and save a couple of bucks to offset this financial blow, but I didn't, so...

I haven't used MCompare, so I cannot speak on how good it is. I can however say that a smilar tool from Plugin Alliance; ADPTR Audio Metric AB is my weapon of choice for references. It seems to have similar features.

Hmm I don't see the 59 price. Could it be location restricted? When I click your link, it is still the usual 99. When I check the Amazon app (Netherlands) it is discounted, but for 89 instead of 59. I just removed this from my wishlist because I have a fairly decent mic and the minor upgrade woulnd't be worth the 99. But with 59 it becomes a different story.

Indeed, that is the reason I bought for example DMG Audio Tracklimit. The amount of limiters I have is limitless (pun intended), but workflow and CPU is important. Does it do something I can't achieve with another limiter? No. Does it have the same bazilion functions other limiters have? No. But it sounds great, is very light, very easy to set up and is very much purpose built.

Lifetime free V-collection upgrades for every Microfreak owner! One may dream ?

Good choice.

Ok, wow. I saw some videos from another 'power user', Baphometrix. Didn't watch them (yet), but reading the comments there are some words to say.
-
This is the whole reason I bought it a while ago. Quick automatic phase alignment of kick/sub. Saves me the trouble of analyzing the whole thing with an oscilloscope and aligning them manually. Great tool.

https://www.xlnaudio.com/products/addictive_drums_2/collections Excludes complete collection, ends October 17th.

Until the 9th...well not so fast! I wasn't planning on getting these (or any plugin this month for that matter), but I had the Eventide equivalents on my wishlist. Going on your recommendations I just bought them. That's me done for October.

I hope it does a better job than that Alpecin shampoo I've been using and at this point I'm willing to give virtually everything a shot. So why not a VST. I will definitely buy this!
-
I consider Massive X as a whole other synth, but just with the same name. If only for the CPU usage. Massive is still extremely capable and has earned its place amongst the VST super synths.

I am very! hestitant to salute a fellow pureblood ?. Though not Prussian, I'm 85% north/west European and within that group mostly (+90%) Dutch and the other 15% Scandinavian. So nothing south of the river Rhine. As my dad used to say 'free from alien blemish' (or something like that, it's hard to translate). Which was his way of saying we don't do heat very well. Ontopic: I read a lot of Bitwig users are not a fan of this direction. And I can understand that if this is indeed from the Bitwig core-team. As an Ableton user I have no problem paying for 3rd party developer stuff directly from the Ableton site because it is very well curated and always offers something Ableton itself does not. But I would be cross if Ableton suddenly released something which in any case would be part of the Suite, but now I had to pay for it.

Looks nice, and so soon after the release of Arturia Dist Coldifre. Someone has been working overtime...

I'm getting 90's and 00's flashbacks.

The key-word here is 'using it' ? But I get it. I don't feel stung when I pay a particular price and it went cheaper after a year or even 6 months. Even if I only used it once or even never. I am however a bit upset with myself. "You idiot, you just wasted €20. Never used it and now it is cheaper". Then I get mad a the developer for not waiting until I have used it, to go for a lower price than I paid for it. But then they make up for it by releasing a brand new shiny toy which I will buy at too high a price. Then the price drops...buy, install, rave, repeat. This (and nothing else, honestly ?) is why I made the switch to hardware. The new shiny toy costs me € 1000. That'll show me!
-
Indeed it is. I think it has been a bit cheaper, but I could be mistaken. Anyway, I don't say this often about a $100+ plugin (and particularly a compressor of which we have thousands), but this one is well worth that kind of money. I have very few go-to plugins, but this one always finds its way onto my drumbus or master or both.

Check out the review by MixbusTV Spoiler alert: If my memory serves me right, it's not.

FORUM works and brings the price down to $31.14

Got me the Ampeg B-15N. I think I'm pretty well covered in the amp department now.

I think we touched on this when it was anounced a while back; they are too late imo. With (among others) Softube, Plugin Alliance, Arturia and Acustica Audio I have basically everything they offer, especially in their Spark collection. They would have to be groundbreakingly different/better for me to buy or subscripbe. And they're not.
