I'm trying to save some money here man, leave me alone ?
-
I demo'ed the presets and the basses sound pretty fat, but not really my style. Sounds like it's very good for dubstep.

No pop-up for me. Or maybe it's a very slow one which takes an hour or so.

Not to spur on any controversy, but isn't crypto supposed to fix this? Send your € funds from account A to wallet X, convert to crypto Z (make sure it doesn't crash in the meantime ?), transfer crypto Z to wallet Y, convert to $ and cash out to account B. Takes 2 minutes of your time and will cost you next to nothing. Just a mild heart attack everytime you don't see the funds within a couple of seconds and you fervently start checking your wallet adresses to doublecheck you didn't mess it up. Ontopic: I really like al lot of those Originals and this one is no exception. I think it is really great value.

I will open up a ticket this weekend I think. I had this problem before, but honestly forgot about it. Until I tried to use one of those mangled piano instruments and it was back. It's not during loading or previewing or selecting the sounds, it's upon playback. Ableton just completely shuts down. But not always right away, after a couple of tries I could bounce out the audio. Luckily Ableton saves crashlogs, so I hope it is something that could be fixed. I found a topic on VI Control with people with the same problems on different DAWs. It could be file structure related, or some buffer setting. On topic: I'm a sucker for drums and if they are anything like the UNO samples, people should really consider this.
-
This could be interesting. If it's based on the UNO drum PCM sounds, those are great. Unfortunately I couldn't get the UNO working on my new PC in Ableton (even IK support stopped helping and I couldn't be bothered to start the whole process up again) and unfortunately Sampletank keeps on crashing (every session, I should really look into that).

I think I have the free version and if I'm not mistaken this full version is part of V collection 9? I'm on 8 now and plan on upgrading on BF or sometime around there. If it doesn't count towards the upgrade price, I'm willing to wait.

I caved. The libraries sound amazing. So I got Evolution Jumbo 12 and Evolution Infinity. I feel these will add the most value for my style. Got some extra discount with Orange Slices, which made the total $112 for both libraries. Great price. -
I know right?! I saw John Selway use it on a 343 Labs video. Hidden gem.

Would have been nicer if they included the patch sheet (pdf). -
Funny thing with Kilohearts is that the plugins are so small and thus the installer so fast, the first time I had to doublecheck wether the plugins were really installed ?
-
At least on par with Kilohearts.

https://onsenaudio.com/products/os251 "OS-251 is a "JUNO" style digital subtractive synthesizer with a simple yet powerful DSP algorithm. Unlike other plugins that use analogue simulation, OS-251 uses digital algorithms to give warm, lo-fi sounds. The design of the oscillators and the selection of parameters were influenced by the JUNO-106, making it easier to express a thicker, chunkier sound. The oscillator has alias noise (specific to digital signal processing) famous on classic samplers like E-mu SP-12 which adds lo-fi feeling to the sound. You can enjoy the powerful sound at modern sampling rates with your DAW."

Always been free, but I just found out. There is a paid version which adds sidechain and crunch. But the snare sounds seems really tweakable. https://www.chair.audio/product/excite_snare_drum/

Oh yeah I forgot all about the Boz one. Have that too. I should really use it sometimes.

The features are very similar to the free Kilohearts gate. Although this has a mix knob and is frequency selective. Combine the Kilohearts Gate with Khz Multipass and you can do everything and much more (gate flipping is cool). But in the end it's still a gate. I get the same feeling with Fabfilter who charge 149 for their gate (not discounted). It's the reason I haven't upgraded to the Total package. I don't need another gate, de-esser or a couple of filters.

Ah yes I thought so. Well it seems a lot of folk here think this is an issue. And although I agree that starting with such a name is not the best of starts, I would like to comment with the following:
