Wavesfactory Equalizer — The new plugin is here ?
Nick Blanc replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I like a lot of their stuff, but for me it is too vague what this is or does. Does it flatten my frequency respons? Does it enhance? Where? Does it yell at me when I try to close it? Does it attack Sonible's SmartEQ? -
https://www.orchestraltools.com/sinefactory The original musical instrument, the human voice is immediate, expressive, and inviting. Manifold puts it into a modern context, offering vocal ensembles with a contemporary studio sound. With smooth and precise singing talents, Manifold is perfect for adding backing vocals to your pieces or creating simple lead lines. Performed by male and female ensembles consisting of eight singers each, Manifold includes the choral staples—oohs, ahs, and ohs, both sustained and short—as well as some creative articulations like swirling, swelling nananas and 5th jumps. Recorded at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles for a clean studio sound, Manifold includes a reverb mic position, meaning you can adjust the sound to fit seamlessly in a wide array of musical genres. Get it for free Works with Orchestral Tools’ SINEplayer—NOTE: Very latest version required! 2.15 GB of samples (758 MB SINEarc compressed) 24 bit / 48 KHz patches -------------------------------- Very nice freebie!

LoFi Pitch dropout has been free if my memory serves me right. And a surpisingly useful plugin.

Hold on! That bundle is on sale right now. For $99. But you can apply their july 4th coupon (JULY50) and get 50% off. That's 49,50 for the bundle. You can get the plugin seperately for the same price as the bundle. Edit: just purchased it and as a bonus you get around 7 GB of samples thrown in for free.

Still a bit bummed about not buying Mix Monolith when it was on sale with Plugin Alliance for a lot cheaper than this.

Reminds me of a user (me) error when using Sine Player. Got errors with newly purchased products. I got help from OT support and sigured out I kept updating the VST3 but was using the old VST2. ?

Life imitates art? Art imitates life? Well, I almost forgot my mother's birthday this week. Got all the presents (you know, flowers and chocolate), a card and everything. Thought to myself the day before that I should call early because I had a very busy day. But forgot to call on the day itself. Needless to say she wasn't happy. Enter the Matriach: she decided to scream in this jam. Good heavens what a sound. Sorry mom.

Haha they sure have some special Softube pricing going on there. I have Core, completing the bundle instead of buying the ONE product I'm missing in the bundle is: "Hey, how would you like to give us €4,63 for nothing?" Better yet: "Perhaps the offer of giving us €4,63 for nothing wasn't enticing enough, how about giving us €22,47 for nothing". To be fair, this is just mocking the "from / for" etc. structure. € 66.53 is a decent price I'm considering to pay. But I have to listen to some more demos first. It's not like I have a shortage of pianos.

For those wondering, what they do most of the time is do a 50% off for everything, apart from 1-2 products which have a higher discount. The 75% one is Finisher Neo.

Creative Sauce: WHY EVEN BOTHER MAKING MUSIC???
Nick Blanc replied to Old Joad's topic in The Coffee House
I make music because I'm the only one who can make exactly what I want to hear at that particular time. And when I bump into limitations like lack of knowledge or lack of ability which keep me from achieving that, I make sure I learn. I have a bit anxiety about performing live, but when I record a performance at home all is well. -
I had heard about it (ha!), but never gave it any thought. Until, a couple of years ago, my (now ex) girlfriend started whispering in my ear one morning. So, now I'm stuck with additional fetishes ?

Benn Jordan has an excellent video about these developments.

Yep, the only benefit I see here is the integration with stuff like Ovox, Harmony or Waves Tune. It's a workflow tool. I guess that's why it's priced at $19.99. I completely forgot I got Harmony though ?. So If you're not a heavy user of those plugins I don't see the benefit. I don't really know about those freeware, I know of free tuners, but accurate key finders? I have the Antares one for integration with Autotune which I rarely use and I have zplane's Tonic. Between them I'm good.

Dune 3 and The Legend are great synths from Synapse. This one flew under my radar, interesting.

Berklee Online - Introduction to the Music Business for Free

Haha that's not a good thing indeed. I used to work for a large international bank (top 25 in the world) and it was actively encouraged to do courses UNrelated to your work. They even paid for it. In fact, if I had tried to do a course that was only just a bit related to my work, they would deny funding. This could be anything from hobby-related stuff to career-changing education. I currently work for a government department and funnily enough they are a bit stricter. Courses have to be somewhat work related, but on the other hand, the budget is huge. I can spend thousands of euro's each year. And as long as there are some buzzwords in the course description like "communication", "planning" or "streamlining processes", I'm golden. -
I got this a while ago in a flash sale for a lot cheaper. That being said, I was kinda disappointed. I couldn't get any decent bass out of this. Maybe my bass was already top notch (doutbful ?), but it gets way out of control the moment I go past 10%.

As I say in the description, I had a little case of writers/producers/performers block. But once I got a specific sound going (the Matriarch really delivered), it was easy going. It practically wrote itself. Had too little prep to do the drums live, so I just did the breakdown at the end. I really like this one! Also having a lot of fun with the new Behringer Edge. I posted some shorts already on my channel, more to the industrial side of things. Perhaps that explains the dislikes? Anyway, enjoy!

I read the title wrong and thought it was 50% off. So I was vigorously going through reviews before coming to the realisation that it doesn't fit the budget right now. Ah well, learned something.

In this case it wasn't a huge youtuber but big enough that he might have got an NFR license? But, then he uses Kontakt Portable which is, as far as I know, not a real product of NI and specifically designed to be used with pirated libraries. You can't just load them up in your regular Player. Also, it was not a product review or something, he just used a tiny portion of it in a beat. So my bet is on piracy. Anyway, to me it was just funny but also a sign of the times maybe that someone 'openly' uses pirated software and nobody seems to bat an eye.

I thought I made had some reply which was ontopic, couldn't find it. Turns out this forum saves your drafts, so I have it back again. But I'm not going to post it, that ship has sailed. What I do want to mention is that I have gone 100% legit. But sometimes you watch some big youtuber do a tutorial and the use Kontakt Portable with some expensive library like Strevoz BALKAN Ethnic Orchestra. Well, you KNOW that's pirated. I mean, I sorta get it? I would like to have Project SAM Lumina, but even discounted it is a bit too much. But in the end piracy is not worth the hassle for me. The same way I stopped using Usenet for my movies and series and I got a couple of streaming services. I'm Dutch and I can confirm this. Piracy just wasn't worth it after that. Funny thing, when you pirated a DVD with some program (DVDripper?, I don't know), the pirate warning was a seperate thing in the DVD structure and removable.

Hmmm, "buy know, it will never be available again...until we decide otherwise a couple of months later" would have been a more honest slogan a while ago. I thought they retired a couple of those because they were not up to Spitfire standards anymore. Or am I remembering another Spitifre Audio?

Not sure if it's a pricing error, but some products (like Colours: Orchestrator) are more than 50% off.
