Studio One 6 dropping Sept. 29 ? (not a deal )
Tony Carpenter replied to CoveCamper's topic in Deals
For me it’s more about paying overtime less (including bits) and not worrying about it. I’ve been on iZotope sub a couple of years now too, that’s definitely saved me money!. -

If you’ve never heard it in use, do yourself a favour listen. I have it in software and on my H9s. -

Just in time! -
Personally I’m going to stick with my hardware. It’s a cheap entry for people though.

Did you make more music when you retired?
Tony Carpenter replied to smallstonefan's topic in The Coffee House
I’m frivolous with my time. I’ve been ‘retired’ about 30 years. Raised my son, got unemployable aged and moving too much. Music is part of my life always has been I don’t do anymore than I used to. In fact at this point I do less ( recording wise). I do play live (online ) quite a bit nowadays. -
I've not had anything Facebook related on in years. I stopped using it, and have zero regrets. I use nothing meta related at all.

Anyone got a good tip on best practices for layers of sub sounds. The Roland site is, how can I put this succinctly, crap.

Lol, I hear ya!. I’m reasonably good at cleaning. Those rubber pads got nasty quickly on my old td10 back in 2001 I remember :).

And now the real fun begins. I discovered I hadn’t installed the hihat fully with the securing clamp for the lower part. I have to say it’s very close to a real hihat in feel now. Need to definitely make up my own kit. BT1 percussion bar is going to be my cowbell or whatever going forward. I need to make hihat play a mini tambourine on close a little rattle on play velocity.

Mackie Control Surface Calibration test?
Tony Carpenter replied to jesse g's topic in The Coffee House
While I was on a Mac I had full set of newer Mackie MCUs. Each update to either OS X or Logic ProX meant they started playing up. I sold them. I bought a Behringer X-Touch and got that working 100% all the time no matter what!. I loved them when they worked but they just were too fickle for me. Old stuff now as was said. -
I’m in the middle of a house move. I was going to get a portable drum room, but, in rental property from the 18th century, you’d still hear my acoustic drums. In addition, big cost very little chance of a return.., so, same cost… this!! I’ll post again when all set up. cheers

I have mixed feelings about this. Strongest about negative is to pay for a number of plug-in fixes… that’s definitely not right. I love quite a few of my waves plug-ins, but, time to replace them with stuff I always own and or similar things that update without wup.

100% agree!!. It’s what drove me to sub honestly. Clever marketing that is imho…

I’m weak.. I gave in. I just had to grab the Amek TMT console… oh well lol.

That’s what almost got me too :). Bad exchange rate with 20% vat kills the deal for me right now too. Great purchase there!.
