  1. Thanks, Kevin, The drive is 2tb spinner. Really slow searching that many files. The doc says I could search selected folders and display "plugin.vst3" in one instance of file explorer. That would cut the search time to almost nothing. It would probably allow you to move file around in your plugin folders. I'm just not an xml geek lol.
  2. Yes, but that is when they 1st came out. Nov 25, 2022 — Oeksound Black Friday Sale - Soothe2 ($139/Full | $39/Upgrade) Spiff ($99) from the 24th to the 28th of November. Here is this year. I bought way before this. I think it was Soothe $129.00 Spiff $99.00 Soothe2 is nothing like Gullfoss. Don't know where someone got that idea. I have also seen it posted that way,
  3. Wow, I just checked to see if there were any updates. I'm not sure whether I would pay the current price for Smoothe2 and Spiff. I'm glad I had these since they 1st came out.
  4. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/search/-search-savedsearchfileformat?redirectedfrom=MSDN Trying to figure this thing out. I have 5 plugin folders. I am trying to locate a plugin in these folders. From what I read, it can be done with a couple of clicks with this. I was wondering if anyone was familiar with this. If so, could you show us an example of: Searching for "plugin.vst3" in A-folder B-folder C-folder EDIT - Just looking for an easy way to find, check, move or delete plugins. Thanks for any help!
  5. No need to erase! Good Information.
  6. I have the Kirchhoff EQ, but I have used Pro Q, 2, 3 for so long, I can't even talk myself into using it in a project, so I can play with it. I like the idea of a dynamic compressor in Q3, but if I needed more I would go to a MB compressor. Kirchhoff Eq is just an EQ with built in MB compressor with some more band curves. I'm not sure I would use them much anyway.
  7. Ok I got the $50 deal offered too, but is their really $50 worth of new stuff? That is 1/2 of what I paid for the original.
  8. I love vertigo plugins. I was using vertigo in a FX chain a few weeks ago. It was one of the best compression/saturation chains I have ever done. I used it on a bus. It is super bright chain and the bottoms is rolled off because of the Butch Vig vocal plug-in. It was Maag Eq, Butch Vig vocals, BlackBox, and Vertigo VSM3 (I love vertigo 2 and 3) Experiment with the settings. Send a tiny bit of a signal through this and it will jump way out front. Too much and it will jump out of your screen/headphones lol. I wish they would release more plugins in plug-in alliance. Their price was much higher when they released them on their own site.
  9. Zo - I listened to some of your mixing. I like the way you hear details in music as you work. I like dynamic EQ too! I like Fabfilter Pro Q3 and the Kirchhoff-EQ for those types of curves. Speaking of curves - I guess I like Softube Chandler Limited Curve Bender too.
  10. Zo you like 200 better? I don’t hear much difference. If I had either I would be ok.
  11. I love this plug-in. I use it mostly for bus processing and important tracks. It’s a great deal @ 14.99!
  12. Not rsinger, but it comes with more patterns/stuff than you could imagine! IMHO BIAB and Scaler are the top 2 in this category of generators.
  13. Well yes you can. I’m a jeweler/musician. There are laser engravers that will run circles around a cnc. The only problem is taking a micro scraper to clean the burnt wood up a bit. The cnc is much better at that part because you can take a paint brush and some compressed air and have it prepped in no time. I have always wanted to experiment with that a bit. I did some silver inlays on a small table top (practicing preparation for attempting the guitar) I’d love to see what you end up doing.
  14. It would be better to just turn down the volume. Three is one on each track. It would be easy to adjust the volume in the console view. You can see all the volumes there. You night have to use volume envelopes if you just want to do parts of the tracks. If you really need compression there are videos and tutorials on these subjects Simply search the forum for compression
  15. You could move you vsts to the proper folders now and scan one more time. They will show up then. I would also recommend you click the Generate scan log as well
  16. Melodyne could easily find the notes. You might be able to delete the ones you don’t need. Not a quick fix but doable.
  17. I have had controller data screwed up. I don’t remember any reverb tails. I’ll make a long one and play with it a bit. Thanks for the info.
  18. I turned off plug-in flushing. No crashes on export after turning it off. What does this do? What would be the advantage of having it turned on?
  19. 1) Gain Automation 2) gain rider waves/outlaw or other 3) Compressor That should tame just about anything! I also like waves MV2 it can overcome huge volume problems. My favorite is ->On really bad tracks after I do some clip gain work, I usually put gain rider, mv2 and a rencompressor. Then I can use a volume envelope to change the volumes on chorus/verses etc If the volume is not all over the place, I like MV2 and RenCompressor
  20. Oh no! Now I got to go read and check this out too. … I watched a couple of videos. If it’s not too hard to set up it might work well for “some” things. I don’t know how close the note trigger timing needs to be to activate the proper channels. I think that is why one guy said it worked well on slower legato music. One other thing, notes are never played at the same time in an orchestra. Randomizing is not that great either. It wouldn’t have the right feel. I do love the way it can split polyphonic music to different tracks/instruments. Let us know how you like it!
  21. Check mark in these 4 boxes rescan failed plugins rescan all plugins scan in sandbox generate scan log Rescan plugins. If they still crash, move non working plugins to the desktop or other folder not in the scan path. Scan as above to completely remove them. Move them back and scan as above. If this does not work you defiantly should send dump files to vendors and cakewalk.
  22. Thanks guys. I got the serial numbers given to my friend. We got them up and running.
  23. I have Smart Limit is a pretty big hit on the cpu. Not interested in pure limit.
  24. Over Compression also brings out noise that is in the track. Unless it was recorded in a quality treated room, with quality equipment the noise can be very noticeable. It will also accentuate lip smacks and "Ss".
  25. I don’t know what causes it but you have to reload the patches in opus sometimes. It is a pain. I usually get the track to sound good then freeze it before funny stuff starts happening. It usually goes south when it’s a large project and lots of memory being used by other samplers and soft synths. It also happens after hours of editing.
