I just watched your video. I saw that the chords did not show up. I see the sections without the chord symbols, but does it have sound? Have you tried saving and then reopening the cakewalk file to see if the chords show up? I had about the same as Glenn. Only minor chord errors. Are you using Cakewalk or Sonar? Did you try loading cakewalk as an administrator? Are you using patchworks 2.66? You could try an older version too. Sometimes this will work. What other daw did you try?

Anyone compare this to track spacer? I would use trackspacer a little more, but the CPU is a little high on my machine.

I think it is a great plug-in. I crank it up a little and drop it on the bus. When I need something to move forward in a mix I can just blend in a little with a send to this bus.

I haven’t tried but I can see why this would not work. Too many levels of connectivity to contend with. I’ll try can’t now later maybe.

Safe mode is holding down the shift key then clicking on the song you want to open. You will have the choice of loading plugins. If you know which ones are causing the problems just go thru the list and choose not to open those. Otherwise, say no to all. Evert time I work on a song I do save as song 01, song 02. I do this about every hour. I also hit save(CTRL-S) frequently. It will help with many problems.

Is it possible the the metronome was loud enough to bleed into the audio track? What were you recording?

Yes, thanks! I wa thinking about making my own noise file. I was going to use white noise and a filter plugin to generate a brownish type wave to use.

Yes Klevgrand Fosfat an Denise Noize 2 They are similar but different. I was wondering if a pcompressot that supports expansion could be used to side chain a similar type effect???

I like a/b but they need to do some serious work in volume matching. Melda does a great job with this.

Ok for the 5m I’ll do it. I would only need 1/2 down. If you are really interested and have the cash we’ll go crack back and open those dusty old c++ books. I should be able to get a nice draft finished in a couple of years. It would be much easier to just buy the new sonar. You will have years of great fun learning and recording music.

Also, how much money do you have? Just look what Kuok Meng Ru did with cakewalk. Or you could just start from scratch like Studio One did and program it however you want.

Do any of you guys (or gals) use noise plugins to bring up instruments in a mix. Like on a kick or snare to add that sizzle to it. Or an acoustic instrument to bring it forward in a mix. Or do you prefer to use compression and Eq? For instances on a snare to bring out the wires or a kick to emphasize the slap to help it cut thru a mix?

I’m not sure. I would probably record the audio with the korg . Then I would insert the Leslie in the tracks FX bin. Then I would record the mod wheel moves for the Leslie off and on switch or just mouse them in.

I have had Melodyne cause several lockups. It is a recommended procedure to bounce your clips after you have edited a region with Melodyne. I always bounce as soon as I finish with a region. Also, I do not do too large of a region. Usually one phrase or les. It would be about 4-8 measures.

When you first add a plug-in. The very top choice is to choose which layout to use. Sort by category, vendor etc. That is where you choose your custom layout. Be. sure you choose your layout here. Also, you can look at Preferences folders and see where cakewalk is looking for plug-in layouts. Then you could copy that path and use file explorer to verify you have saved yours there.

Just set up a midi track in cakewalk and set the Korg to that channel. I usually just record the midi. It will contain the midi notes and the cc data. I haven’t don’t it with waterfall, but other B3 Emulations just use the mod wheel for Leslie off and on.

Select all then click CTRL you should be able to drag the whole thing. The shift key will keep in the proper time alignment.
