What will make me consider buying highest tier of upcoming Sonar
Max Arwood replied to Misha's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I wish there was a sub forum that discussed biab, scaler 2 and other midi generators. Only thing subs get so ignored. I didn’t know about this either from google search -> A new generation of AI MIDI software has emerged over the past 5 years. Google, OpenAI, and Spotify have each published a free MIDI application powered by machine learning and artificial intelligence Will Sonar be called “Sonar AI” Wouldn’t this be a pleasant surprise? -
Wow you know it would be nice to click on “in the style of” Jon Lord, Booker T, Keith Emerson, Jimmy Smith, Lonnie Smith etc. I guess someone industrious could split the tracks into stems and drop the keyboard track into Melodyne.

I love the b3 sound. I will definitely check this out, but IK media “Hammond” B3X is phenomenal. Sorry no midi tracks?

What are your favorite tools to find and solve masking problems. Ok skip the 1st one, Start with #2. Any old EQ -Ears, Pro-Q3, TrackSpacer, Span Plus, MultiFreq, Nectar I have used TrackSpacer a few times. I would use it more because it is so easy, but the CPU is a little high. I have Nectar3-4 but never used it. I hear Nectar is also high CPU plug. I have use Multifreq and ProQ3. 1)Ears and an EQ 2)

Pie is certainly colored! Try a little on your percussion bus! I frequently put it on the bus along with Kramer HLS (With a little preamp boost). Just sayin' - I put them in my saturation section of my bus.

Sonible Smart EQ 3 & Smart EQ 4 don't work properly
Max Arwood replied to F.J. Lamela's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I have had problems opening a song with Sonible smart limit. I just quit using it. I’ll look into it again. -
What do you guys think about these. I always has questions about the possibility of small distortions/artifacts added by inexpensive plugins.

sjoens wow I couldn’t decide whether to laugh or like your post!! They could call it an new AI feature. Lol thanks for the laugh! Yea

Cakewalk online documentation is somewhat broken
Max Arwood replied to OPunWide's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
You can search the forum multiple ways. You should check it out too. -
Today smart limit has been locking up a song. I could do a safe load, but what about a safe load plus. A pop up ask me which plugins to exclude. I type in smartlimit. The song loads without smartlimit and I don’t have to answer 70 times Do you want to load this plug-in.? Please consider this. It would save time and irritation! It could load with shift+ to activate. Is could have a pop up with several fuels for data entry Thanks for considering this.

I have pretty good luck with this too-> google.com In cakewalk how do I ….. This searches the online documentation the forum and a bunch of other sources. You just have to be careful which Cakewalk/Sonar version google search pulls up and how old the data is. -
There is a midi cache setting somewhere too. I have mine wide open. It can cause very slight delay on start while it filled the buffers. Buffers 128 playback Prepare using 1000 ms buffers Hope this helps

I just want to give a thanks to Jim Roseberry. The computers he has built for me have been great. The only problems I ever had were ones of my own making lol. I can’t believe how well this old over clocked i7 still runs. I think it was bought around 2012. I am definitely a plug-in junkie. Probably only topped by Bapu! It takes a bunch of plugins / soft synths to slow this thing down. Thanks Jim!

Try both ways and look at the CPU meter. I would guess 1 instance would take less cpu. I usually use 1-2tracks per each opus. I do this so I can freeze and unfreeze more quickly.

I was thinking the same thing. Your plugins are great!!! I could help make some of the vector stuff for you. What is your preferred vector format?

No the envelopes are pegged all the way across the track. The nodes are still there from my edits, but the envelope it in the ceiling. I still haven’t figured out how this happens. Still trying to figure it out. It ends up happening to several tracks simultaneously sometimes.
