    Fragile

Well .. I kinda like the melody and of course the wonderful lyrics so thanks for posting them. For my ears I feel this mix is a little too thin in parts, but that may have been your intention so as to feel the word fragile ... danno. Anyway love the message and good work ? and Ho have a great Xmas ATB Steve
  13. Very well made bit of work. With regard to the other comments and the lack of bass, IMO (and due to the fact I was accompanying this in the studio with strings) I feel a lower register strings pad could help fill out the overall mix and would also make the lyric work a little better. For my part I think the mix is fine though. You know Lynn, you have a lot of the Beatles chord changes in this and I could hear Harrison doing this one. You have the toy I want for the new year, I've invested in Ni's Maschine plus bit'n'bobs and Keys2 would be a step too far at the moment but just to say it sounds great soo ... . Steve

  17. Much love and it's good to hear James's guitar ... Steve
  18. From what you posted I'm thinking the source was the problem, when the recording from the VHS machine it looks like it had not been adjusted for picture azimuth .. if you still have the original tapes, my feeling is to use a professional company for the transfer ... Long ago I made a few bob doing just that but the kit is not really available now. SR
  19. This is one of my favorites .. a real message here with a smooth mix . great stuff ? ( PS it's a great track full blast while driving ?) Stay well Nigel&Crew Steve
  20. Have to say I hate covers done here, as there is nothing (usually) better than the original .. BUT my god ! is this a good cover Joe Cocker would love you for this ?? SRM
  21. THAT is a real piece of rack gear woooooow an' just under 2 grand ? Got cage nuts if you've run out ... just sayin'
  22. I, like so many of us , have too many cans, but it's interesting to hear that you feel the 1990s are good HPs. The 770 were purchased for their closed back so as to record vocals, however I just couldn't wear them for long periods .. the wife would leave me if I brought some 1990 but I'll put it on the back burner .. so cheers mate
  23. I purchased some DT770 pro's some 5 years ago ( just under 200.00 quid) and I have to agree Beyer are fools gold and are bloody awful ..would NOT recommend these at all .... SRM
