I can totally hear Petty there, love his stuff. Every time I finish a song I start thinking it's the last good one I'll ever come up with. Who knows where they come from and if it may dry up, but you gotta keep trying.

Very pretty song and great vocals. Personally I would like to hear the bass more. Good work.
-
Really good vocals on there.

Things sound pretty good but the kick is really distracting. It's a big woofy over powering thump. I don't think it fits at all, but if you love it at least turn it down. The trumpet sounds great.

Cool tune! Fusion is my favorite genre. Very good playing, I'm jealous. Those drums must have been a lot of work, I can't imagine. My only little niggle is the bass seems weak, I think the song would have more impact with a bit more bottom. Great job on this one man.

Boy, that's a treat for the ears! Really great composition with many cool changes, great job. Fantastic playing too.

OMG, we used one of those 688's back in the 90's. All the punching in and out we ruined the heads and kind of barely salvaged a years worth of band recording. I do think certain things sounded better recorded to tape, rhythm guitar sounds were great, vocals were better too. Don't remember mine being midi, just a cassette.

I think it sounds pretty good now.

You never seem to run out ideas, amazing. Great guitar playing, cool changes. I dig that sultry trumpet too.

Nice song and singing. My only niggle is the bass sounds weak, it is kind of vague sounding.

Well done. -
Interesting song, good work.

Interesting song with some good sounds. I don't hear any bass was this on purpose?

What a great groove, love it! Kind of like some of the great bass grooves that Barry White had.

Need help with stretching audio tracks using transients
KSband replied to Rideronts425's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I've screwed up some tracks from too much stretching. I would zoom in a lot more and make sure your transient markers bracket the part well before stretching. It's worth learning how to use the transients, I always use them to tighten up my bass and drum parts, makes the groove so much tighter sounding. -
Did some more tweaks to it. https://www.bandlab.com/studedude/ocean-blvd-056f10e3?revId=db50d25d-ac74-ec11-94f6-a04a5e79a6b8

Good song. Definitely some timing issues though. Do some audio transients so see how far off things are.

Very cool and good energy. Like the horns and of course great guitar too. Is this your usual group of guys?
-
I think the drums may be too loud now, at least on my speakers it sounds that way.
-
Wow, this sounds really good! Nice recording, everything sounds good, especially the vocals, great work man. Hooky song too.
-
That's some pretty great playing! The recording sounds kind of muffled to me. Otherwise there is a lot of energy.

I like this tune, reminds me of a Paul Simon song. To me it needs more bottom end and the drums are a long ways away. Maybe that's what you are going for .

Thanks for the tip Promidi, I just downloaded the Mcompressor and it is pretty close to the safe in the way it operates. Appreciate the help.

Thanks! I'll give it a try.

OK, thanks. I was wondering if that's how it would have to be done, just being lazy and hoping for a way to not do it.
