I may bite at199 from just XI. The original crossgrade price direct from Eventide for SP2016 from Anthology XI and Stereo Room was $29 in 2018. SplitEQ's intro price was ~$90 depending on the reseller. Add on the $40 they are asking customers who already have everything, and the upgrade is in the ballpark. Still, it may be cheaper to wait for individual sales to pick up the plug-ins missing from XII rather than pay up now. If the $199 from XI results in adding new licenses for the full H9 series, SP2016 and SplitEQ, that is a deal.
-
You don't find this compelling (from https://www.eventideaudio.com/faqs/)? It is nice to have one installer, just not $40 nice. Fortunately, they don't require the $$$ to use the installer.
-
It also includes SplitEQ and SP2016. If one already has Anthology XI, all H9 series, SP2016 and SplitEQ there is no reason to upgrade. Anthology XII now includes all their plug-ins in one installer. I will use the Anthology XII installer but not going to pay for the privilege.

MFX plug-ins must go in a MIDI FX rack. Instrument tracks expose the audio track FX rack in the track view. To access the MIDI FX rack of an instrument track (B), use the track inspector MIDI tab (T )

I do not use Cubase, but my understanding is removal of the generic driver is not a problem for those with another ASIO driver. All generic drivers may interfere with real ASIO drivers.
-
The Generic Low Latency Driver installed by default with Cubase is a problem. If this was installed, uninstall it, rename the dll or remove the driver entry from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ASIO

Plug-ins do not affect DAW settings. Running other programs that have audio can mess with the interface. Did you try a reboot?

http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=0x20A26 I set a time for auto-save but turn off auto-save by change setting it to 0. I also use versioning In addition to manual save.

Couple of possibilities Too low an audio buffer setting in CbB preferences Sample rate mismatch between the DAW and the interface

Very often plug-ins with installers fail when copied from another installation instead of running the installer. This is due to additional steps performed during install such as registry entries. If you have access to the old C drive and never purges the CCC cache all the installers used on the previous machine are still there By default, CCC cached installers in "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads" There were some installers which did require SONAR Platinum installed but I do not believe the Concrete Limiter was one of them because the plug-in predates Platinum. Platinum Content on the other hand, may be looking for the Platinum registry entries. You might want to install at least the Platinum Core or the core for the most recent version of SONAR available. When it comes to legacy installs, AFAIK nothing has changed this this post

If GPU hardware acceleration is enabled, see what happens if it is turned off. Win10 Settings > System > Display > Graphics Settings

I only see one instance of the Concrete Limiter in my account. It is installer v1.0.2.18; the same that is shown in CCC. If you have access to an older version, you could try downloading and installing it first and/or manually download v1.0.2.18 from your account and copying it into the CCC download cache. Then run the installer from CCC or run it manually. I don't recall anything remarkable about the last time I installed this plug-in, and it appears I used CCC to install it in 2020.

If the dll is not in the CbB scan path; the path must be added to preferences unless ToonTrack is still installing the EZD2 plug-in under C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 folder. The VST3 spec does not permit VST2 plug-ins in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 folder. If it is in the VST3 folder, it must be moved. If you cannot find the ezd2 dll, Studio One may show you where the dll is located. If

Probably this issue with the ToonTrack installer putting the plug-in in the wrong place or it was installed outside the scan path.

Looking for a VST that allows to hold on a note

Something like the Hold key on the Virtual Controller/Keyboard? -
No. I could not care less about the video. All the video demonstrates the effect of "On Stop, Rewind to Now" which was already covered by David's post. All CTRL+W does is toggles "On Stop, Rewind to Now" and swaps the key bindings for SPACEBAR and CTRL+SPACEBAR. It does not demonstrate does anything at all.
-
No there is no way to invoke RTZ by pressing STOP twice in CbB There is a toggle transport function and a function to control the position of Now time on stop.
-
If you wish to the Sonitus preset manager
-
CTRL+W does not result in instead, CTRL+W is the shortcut for "On Stop,Rewind to Now" toggle which swaps spacebar (Play/Stop) and CTRL+spacebar (Stop with Now marker) functions.
-
The Sonitus preset manager uses ini files to store presets. By default, the ini files are located in "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Plugins" and user have read-only access to them. In order to save presets right-click on the ini file(s) open properties from the file context menu edit permissions allow Write permission for users

WASAPI Shared uses a buffer size fixed by the OS. WASAPI Exclusive has an adjustable buffer size. As with any driver mode with an adjustable buffer size, in the search for low latency, it is possible to make the buffer too small to work reliably.

1. no 2. not automatically 3. enable input echo, the button right of record in track headers 4. it is possible to Allow MIDI Recording without an Armed Track, but it depends on input setting not track selection.
-
ASIO4All was developed for programs that require ASIO where no ASIO driver exists. ASIO4All is not a real ASIO driver; it is a wrapper for WDM drivers. CbB does not require an ASIO driver. CbB works with WDM and WASAPI drivers. When running Win10 without a real ASIO driver, try using WASAPI driver modes in CbB. Regardless of the driver, I have never seen a case where it was impossible to set the input on an audio track to a single channel on an interface and track interleave to mono.

will it affect quality of sound if i add like 50 fabfilter EQ3?
scook replied to Pascal Auger's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I do not use Waves plug-ins so I can only go by the information on their website and other sources. They have not supported VST2 in SONAR for years and never supported in CbB. Waves does not support mixing VST2 and VST3 formats. Waves is one of the few manufacturers supporting automatic VST2 to VST3 migration (probably because of the above). The migration settings are in CbB Preferences > File > VST Settings Might be worth testing on a copy of the project. In case anyone is curious why I brought all this up in a thread about FabFilter, see the OPs post before this one -

Use the VST3 version of the plug-in. The VST3 should have the host bypass function. Waves does not support VST2 format in CbB.
