Yes I still recommend using the tool I wrote (see the link in my previous post) to avoid having to edit the registry directly.

It may be instructive to see the MIDI setup in CbB preferences. These are pretty big images so, in order to post legible copies use an image service such as imgur.com and post links to the images. If the CbB MIDI indicator is flashing, it may be instructive to record some of the data and review it in the event inspector. There are some filters in MIDI playback and record preferences so, these may need to be reviewed along with the other preference settings.

The AudioBox should be able to run in ASIO mode. Make sure the driver is current. The latest driver was released a few days ago. If this does not work try all the other driver modes. MME is the poorest performer.

The support response is similar to the instructions for the last versions of SONAR https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013392/SONAR-2015-Clean-Install-Instructions updated for CbB. Step 5 is a little mangled though. It should be These registry entries are for CbB only and do not affect SONAR installs. In fact, the link I provided shows the registry entries for the last versions of SONAR.

The Surge team is also working on creating Surge modules for VCVRack.

These are fine suggestions for new projects but do not address the OP's problem. If the OP cannot find their copy of the Amplitude 2 installer and the installer is not available from the manufacturer there are few options for working with existing projects.

Command Center still needed? Sonar Professional?
scook replied to Tony p's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
After everything is installed, the Command Center is not necessary unless something gets messed up and needs to be reinstalled. Removing the Command Center does not free up much space (<100MB). If you have not archived the installers from the Command Center cache, this is something to do that will free up quite a bit of disk space. The default for the download cache is a hidden folder - "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads" -
Command Center still needed? Sonar Professional?
scook replied to Tony p's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
The Cakewalk Command Center like all Cakewalk products are not being maintained. That said, the Command Center is useful for installing and activating SONAR Home/Artist/Professional and Platinum. All of these have plug-ins not bundled with CbB. All the plug-ins bundled with 64bit SONAR may be used in CbB. Some of the later plug-ins bundled with Professional and Platinum require those products be installed for their installers to run. -
Keep in mind, users who stay current receive an update installer that only works on the previous production install. The update installer is not a full version,

The Add Track menu and inserting from template do not recall assignable controls. IOW, only methods that add synths using the insert soft synth options dialog can recall assignable controls.

start/stop/rewind button disappeared
scook replied to RICHARD HUTCHINS's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
It looks just like it should when using the small transport module. Select the large transport module. Module size may change automatically depending on the module and control bar settings. May want to review the links I provided above. -
start/stop/rewind button disappeared
scook replied to RICHARD HUTCHINS's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Like most of the modules, the transport module displays different controls based on the size of the module in the control bar. It is possible to lock down the control bar to prevent the modules from changing size. Right-click a module to see the available settings. -
Cakewalk can wrap one or more plug-ins in an FX Chain. An FX Chain preset has buttons and knobs that may be mapped to the controls of the plug-ins in the chain. An FX Chain preset may be load in the FX Rack and ProChannel. The FX Chain UI display is determined by where it is loaded. Regular plug-ins added to the ProChannel are automatically wrapped in an FX chain.

For some material the Radius algorithms may be a better choice.

The image shown in the help is the old SONAR screen but the location of the preference setting is the same. http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=0x20F8C Bug report sent to Bandlab to update image

To get all plug-ins listed in the CbB documentation requires running the CbB installer and the Installers listed on the "Install Add-ons..." menu in BandLab Assistant Platinum owner's should not use the Melodyne installer in CbB Add-ons. Instead use the Melodyne installer in your Celemony account. To have access to all the Platinum content, Platinum owner's should install Platinum preferably before CbB.

How to bounce cakewalk tts-1 digital to and audio track
scook replied to Frank DeFede's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
To use Bounce to Tracks to create synth audio see http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=SoftSynths.12.html To use freeze to create synth audio see http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Mixing.23.html Both use the same routines to create audio. Bounce creates audio in a new track but does not automatically disconnect the synth. Freeze creates audio in the synth's audio track and disconnects the synth. -
The plug-ins bundled with CbB are detailed here. Platinum bundled a lot more content including a license for the full retail version of Addictive Drums 2. To access all of the software included with Platinum, consider installing Platinum. That said, XLN Audio (Addictive Drums 2) and Celemony (Melodyne) have their own installers. The Addictive Drums 2 installation instructions are here. Use the Melodyne installer in your account on the Celemony site and not the one in your Cakewalk account. If Platinum and AD2 are already installed and AD2 shows up in Platinum but not in CbB, it is likey an issue with the VST scan path.

The PRV is a MIDI editor and cannot directly affect audio data. Cakewalk does not have a sampler but there are several free plug-ins that will do the job. In this case, Sitala looks like a good fit. Another frequently mentioned free sampler is TX16Wx.

Just a few comments before my test results. Whether assignable controls are added to the synth depends on the "Recall Assignable Controls" setting in the Insert Soft Synth Options dialog. The Add Track does not use the Insert Soft Synth Options settings and it does not recall assignable controls. It probably should have this option in the advanced settings or the synth rack should have an option to recall assignments. So I started tested earlier today using SI-Bass and CbB 2019-05. I believe it failed like this Ultimately, I saved the project with a control assigned to the Master volume. I repeated the test with Platinum 2017-10 with the same results (I think) and ultimately overwrote the project saved with CbB. Then tested in X3e. It does not have the Add Track menu but all other methods worked OK and then I overwrote the project again. Retested in Platinum. It was working OK. Retested in CbB. It was working correctly. Just fired up CbB again, used different synths and controls are recalled using every method except Add Track (which is expected). IOW, after the tests I ran this morning I am no longer able to reproduce the problem.
