  1. I think you meant ProChannel not Channel tools. That said, the track gain adjustment and an empty FX Chain can add quite a bit of gain to a track too.
  2. Once set, the workspace menu should retain the value across sessions. The DAW reads the workspace file to use from CurrentLens in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Core The CurrentLens value is empty when the workspace menu is set to None. Workspaces were added across the entire SONAR line when Cakewalk rolled out SONAR Home Studio. At the time they were called Lenses.
  3. Check/Set the MIDI Editor indicator on the clip
  4. Mix recall can work on selected tracks/buses but it sounds like what you want to use are track templates which preserve routing, level settings, and plugins/plugin settings and do not rely on the projects starting with a common template or project.
  5. it is done with automation can also be done with clip fades
  6. Then again, I may be misunderstanding the problem. It could be an issue with local control on the keyboard. If this is the case, there are two commands, SendLocalOff and SendLocalOn that go in the [Options] section of %appdata%/Cakewalk Core/TTSSEQ.ini Read about them here https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=INI_Files.5.html Of course, to send command to the keyboard the advice about turning off all MIDI output devices must be ignored.
  7. Unfortunately this method may be used to create either an instrument track or a audio/MIDI track pair. So really tells one nothing. By default this method displays a screen of options including tracks to create. Regardless, it sounds like you are sending MIDI data back to the keyboard. This may only be done by setting MIDI track output to the keyboard. The easiest way to prevent MIDI from traveling back to the keyboard is turn off all MIDI output devices in preferences.

Yes, follow the directions in http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Introduction.30.html If already running BA start with step 4 under BandLab Assistant
  9. There is a mix recall feature in CbB As long as the projects start from the same template or are modified versions of the original project they should be able to reuse mix scenes. To load a mix scene from one project to another, navigate to the mix scene folder of one project in the browser and drag the scene into the other project. The Mixscenes folder is at the same level as the per-project audio folder.
  10. The more details the better. In this case it may help to know how the keyboard is attached, audio interface, how the tracks are setup in the DAW. Additional stuff like make/model of keyboard may be useful. The plug-in being used sometimes helps. In short describing a problem without describing the environment in detail makes it difficult for those trying to imagine what the cause of the problem might be. If you are not hearing the MIDI played through the plug-in it could be the MIDI track is not routed to the plug-in and/or the plug-in does not have an audio track setup t receive the audio from the plug-in. If using an instrument track, it may be the MIDI is not being recorded on the instrument track but is recorded on a separate MIDI track. A complete routing for a virtual instrument is EITHER an instrument track OR an audio/MIDI track pair.

Check the notification area to see if BA is already running. Closing the BA window does not close the program. It says resident in memory.

All the information is in this link http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Introduction.30.html The PC will need to be connected to the internet to download, install and activate the software. Once activated, the internet connection is not needed to use the software. I hope the PC is running at least 64bit Win7, preferably Win10.

The project will load in CbB. The big PITA will be porting projects made with 32bit DX plug-ins. Not all of them was ported to 64bit. While all the projects should open fine in CbB the DX plug-ins that are 32bit only will not load. If you have not installed the 64bit version of SONAR 7, do so. Then install BandLab Assistant and CbB following these instructions http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Introduction.30.html Expect a huge learning curve but at least you will have a working, supported and current DAW that can read your old projects.

The plug-ins bundled with 64bit SONAR 7 should work. Pretty sure they install even if the SONAR 7 is not registered. The DAW will go into demo mode after 30 days but the plug-ins will still be available for CbB.

If you migrated the account to an SSO in late 2014 though 2017, the purchase history is still there. If not, the purchase history is gone.

As I tried to explain above, there is no automatic password reset. The links to support in my previous posts are to the current support team working for BandLab. They can reset passwords for old Cakewalk SSO accounts.
  18. Add the manufacturers the OP is about. Add links to the update pages if possible. I was pleasantly surprised that Eventide put their VST3 plug-ins in a manufacturer folder unlike others (looking at you FabFilter). They also separated the 32 and 64bit installers.
  19. Yes, Eventide is one of the worst when it comes to update notification. All plug-ins were updated Apr 1. VST3 support was added for all plug-ins. Their main download page is https://www.eventideaudio.com/support/downloads I expect to see this double posted as the subject of the OP lacks detail.
  20. While Cakewalk did a test run at making a DAW for Macs, CbB like all the old Cakewalk DAWs is a Windows program. AFAIK there is no Mac program for opening wrk files. Based on I assume you have access to a Window machine
  21. Please do not use the scan options shown in this image unless instructed to do so. The two rescan options should always be unchecked. They are not intended to be used for regular scans and serve no purpose when running a reset. "Scan is Sandbox" should always be checked and is the default. "Generate Scan Log" is a backstop when encountering unexpected problems with scanning. By default is is unchecked but does not affect scan operation regardless of the setting.
  22. I don't use Waves plug-ins but I hear the Waves support team is pretty good. They should be able to help.

    Input Stereo/Mono

You will need to select the appropriate channel for the mic in the track input drop down. The input drop down is not shown in the image because the tracks are not tall enough. If the mic is in the second input on the interface it will appear in the track input drop down as the right side of channel 1. To record in mono make sure to set the track interleave button (just above E in the image below) to mono.
  24. Cakewalk by BandLab is free, supported and still being developed. It started with the code base from the unreleased SONAR Platinum 2017.11 It can read wrk and MIDI files. If the wrk projects have any DX plug-in, they may be unavailable unless they were ported to 64bit and bundled with CbB. The projects should still open but without the plug-ins. Instructions for installing BandLab Assistant (the tool needed to download, install and activate CbB) and CbB are here http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Introduction.30.html

The old Cakewalk website is in read-only mode. There is no email service. No new accounts may be created. Existing SSO account password reset is performed by support@cakewalk.com
