Hi Guys , My Last thread has something like 4 songs in it so I'm forced to have to start a new thread for my new song ? On this one I played guitar , guitar synth , and Keys ( for drum programing ) The hardest thing about this tune for me was lifting Betty's Voice off some of her recordings . While doing that I had to time the stuff underneath her voice . In any event I had a blast doing this tune as imperfect as a few things may be w the vocals ...they are there more for the dramatic effect ... I hope you enjoy , Kenny

I was a P .F . fan back in the day when their music was hitting the charts ...So yeah , I did listen to them back then for sure ...It has been decades since I last listened to them ....maybe some of Davids style of playing got channeled through me while I was soloing . Yes I had a real blast playing Talking Tele . About a week before I posted the song I had bought The Red Tele I used for my playing on that song . I had set the Tele up , changed my bridge pick up and playing the solos was that Tele's fist run as my Geeetar.... I'm very happy with the results . thank you for the song listens . It's not even a question of I want or need the attention because I'm not even wired that way ...So here's the thing . I'm gonna add it here because I'm not gonna start another thread just for this ...In the past when ever I had multiple songs in The Songs Forum I simply couldn't handle keeping up with everything ..mine and yours Escape To Cantaloupe Island is me playing Jazz Guitar and Midi Guitar over the changes to The Jazz Standard Cantaloupe Island ... If you happen to like some of the Jazz playing I do . This may be a good listen ...Or on the other side of the coin . if you hit the point where enough is enough ... I'm OK w that to ...The story behind my music is one of planting seeds ...The Harvest apparently has always been out of my reach ...someday I hope . in any event thank you all for being so kind and giving my playing a listen ,it means a lot . Hi Douglas , I think this may be one of the first times I have listened to one of your tunes . I felt this song was a good listen . I 'm a guitar player so you know I'm gonna dig some nice riff style rock that features a cool sounding guitar that kicks it into overdrive . Yeah I also Love me some Wah Wah . Overall I liked the sounds and structure of your tune . As far as crits go ...generally I don't go there until I know a person for a while ...not that I have any thing to offer at in that department this moment,It's all good for now . all the best, Kenny

Hi Kevin, What! you have a study pile ? Some of my playing even made it there ....cool beans ....I feel honored ... Thanks for the kind word on my guitar playing . I keep it simple when I record . My tone on "To Thine Own Self Be Blue" was exactly how my guitar sounded playing out of one of my amps . Once I played and recorded my playing in Cakewalk I used a little EQ , ( Pro Chanel ) and Delay Sonitus (sp? ) ..that's it other than editing out finger board thumps or hiss'y silences when I 'm not playing Maybe sometime in the future I may choose to discus my process in depth . nice talking with you , Kenny

I liked your Goblins tune ...seems like a good lesson in sound design ...I'm doubly shocked that you only used a 32 bit version of the TTS . Your sounds in this song show a lot of initiative. if we are still talking about votes ...you got my vote ? Kenny

Hey I liked your tune Kevin ! Has a nice Swamp Rock type of vibe going for it ... Sounds clean almost a little too clean in places ( some of the guitars ) I like when you added a little crunch to a few of the guitars as the song played through .. Hi Allen , Love your vocals on this . I'm a non vocalist but if I could sing I would be happy if I had a voice that had the depth and quality of your abilities on vocals . I really dug the changes in your arrangement . At 1:29 that change up was unexpected. As it played out it really drew me in as a listener .
