Nashville tuning is awesome for layering. I went out and got myself a Squier Strat just for that.

If you want the lowest latency, you have to use ASIO drivers. Dedicated ASIO drivers supplied by the manufacturer, not ASIO4ALL. ASIO only allows one device at a time. That's not a Cakewalk issue, it's part of the ASIO spec.

Not A Deal - My Experiences As A New IK Multimedia Customer
Byron Dickens replied to husker's topic in Deals
I just can't imagine that this all goes so smoothly and painlessly for me simply because I have such a charmed life.... In fact, I think I should sue William Bell and Booker T Jones for the royalties they owe me: -

Not A Deal - My Experiences As A New IK Multimedia Customer

It's only complicated if you make it complicated. Open the product manager, click on the product you want and go make some coffee. In the meantime, the product manager downloads, installs and authorizes it. I don't know how it could be any simpler. What do you want? Someone from IK to come over to your house and do it for you? -
Edit Tempo Map Node w/o Messing Up Everything Downstream
Byron Dickens replied to Scott Kendrick's question in Q&A
Yep. I find the easiest way is to select the node and edit the values just as with automation. -
Quality will not suffer.

Midi track change instrument and pitch during every playback
Byron Dickens replied to Zongvue Chang's question in Q&A
Nope. It isn't Cakewalk, it's something in your settings. -
Cakewalk isn't meant to be a video editor. The video track is there for those who are scoring to picture. I suggest you would save yourself a lot of trouble by using an actual video editor for rendering

Really not funny at a time like this.

Oh, how quick some people are to make stupid comments before even asking what type of trouble shooting someone has done. Because you know, looking to see if there are thousands of markers is "the most basic troubleshooting" Well played. Oh, well since you didn't bother to mention any the myriad troubleshooting steps you took I can only assume You didn't take any. Because that's how most people who join the forum just prior to complaining about how "Cakewalk don't work" roll.

Doomsday Prophecy Remixed (banned by YouTube)
Byron Dickens replied to Byron Dickens's topic in Songs
Well, damn. Thanks for the comments and for pointing that out! I wonder what the hell happened? It wasn't supposed to be like that. I must have gotten ahold of some bad crack or something. Yeah, I'm gonna have to redo that.... -
Yes, it is. Plug the headphones into the headphone output of your interface.

Oh, how quick some people are to automatically blame the software before they do any of the most basic troubleshooting.

This would probably get more traction in the instruments and effects section.

Cakewalk and Soundgrid Extreme Server Integration
Byron Dickens replied to PittsburghSteelMan's question in Q&A
Smells like Bovine Excrement to me. I'd buy the "technical issue" explanation. -
Another dark, moody, cinematic piece along the lines of Prelude to Armageddon. Really bizarre that the censors at YouTube age restricted this when network TV shows worse. First thing I have been able to complete since becoming afflicted with arthritis and having to completely rework my picking technique. Remixed Video contains footage of war, natural disasters, etc with a brief view of corpses.

I think you misunderstood what I was talking about. There is no " constantly rendering mixes." You lay down all your tracks. Then you mix them. Then you master. I'm pretty sure that if they could, they would. Or you could not track through all those latency-inducing effects. Because that's how so many pros do it. And they don't have to "master out errors" either. But anyway, the your workflow is why you're having the latency issues you're describing.
