  1. I thought the orchestration was really well done. After the first time the brass comes in, I like how it comes in and then drops out instead of continuing. I also really liked the way about halfway through the when the brass drops out and the whole orchestration Steven's way out and the dynamic gets so much quieter. That was really effective and really grabbed my ear. Completely unexpected.
  2. Yes. The quantize function always works as expected.
  3. It must not have been very important.
  4. There's nothing wrong with quantize; it works exactly as it is designed. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=EditingMIDI.39.html This has been a feature probably since Cakewalk was a DOS program. I think if there was a bug in it there would be more reports than just yours.
  5. This is one of the busiest forums I've seen. Steinberg's is a ghost town. There's threads on the FIRST PAGE where the most recent post is from 2018!
  6. I wonder if it has anything to do with the size of the last project that was open?
  7. What instrument do you have your MIDI track routed to?
  8. What I've found is that it seems to only work if you have input echo enabled on both tracks. Additionally, you have to pay attention that input echo is enabled on only those tracks and no others or the results can be quite unpredictable.
  9. My Hellraiser V is the guitar I play the most.
  10. In fairness, the real thing is probably priceless. So comparatively speaking this would be quite the deal.... It is also available as part of the Cremona quartet which goes for four hundred bucks.
  11. Gotcha. No worries. One of the biggest drawbacks to the internet is missing all those subtle cues you get face to face....
  12. Really? You actually timed it? In all actuality, probably nowhere near as much as if you chilled out a bit and quit counting every second. That's quite an impressive output. I can't see how having to wait a few seconds now and then has hurt you. Good for you. Meditation isn't supposed to be a contest, however. Sorry if I offended you, but I spent too much time in some of my former jobs with a clock held up to me like it was a gun to my head by office bound jackwagons with no clue about the realities of things on the shop floor that I have a strongly negative reaction to anything remotely resembling that kind of stopwatch clicking mentality. A minute or so would definitely be excessive but I think 16 seconds is barely noticeable.
  13. Sixteen WHOLE SECONDS? Not to be an *****, but the only idea I have is to develop just a wee bit of patience.
  14. Hmmmm... Right now, I have a project in the works with 5 or 6 instances of Voltage Modular and my computer doesn't seem to be breaking a sweat.
  15. No? What's this here then? And if you need support from the company there's always: https://help.cakewalk.com/ Anyway, your "problem" isn't a technical issue, its user error. You have to extend the length of your project to accommodate the reverb tail.

I gotta disagree somewhat about the cables. A good guitar cable is not that expensive and will save endless headaches. The overpriced snake oil ones are a waste of money for anyone.
  18. MIDI cc events are red (orange), notes are black and non MIDI events are blue.
  19. 32c has 12 busses. Regular Mixbus has 8. But yeah, I track and edit in CbB, export all the individual tracks and mix in Mixbus. Probably when the next version comes out and the upgrade goes on sale for dirt cheap I will move up to 32c for that full EQ section....
  20. Did it also install it's own BS generic ASIO driver? If so, get rid of it.
