  1. Thanks for explaining the difference and the education. In my research, I saw they were both Ken Fischer designed amps so I assumed they were similar: https://reverb.com/news/trainwreck-amps-a-history-of-ken-fischers-mythic-circuitry. How's the AmpliTube Z Wreck implementation? It's from 2013.
  2. BTW, here's the list of amps: Hiwatt® DR103™ Head Jet City Amplification 333® JCA100H™ Head Model Jet City Amplification 333® JCA20H™ Head Model Dr. Z Amplification® MAZ 18 Jr.™ Combo Model Gallien-Krueger® MB150S™ Model ENGL® Powerball™ Head Model THD® BiValve™ Head Model Carvin® V3M™ Head Model Dr. Z Amplification® Z Wreck™ Head Model AmpliTube has been my intro to these boutique amps. I have the All-Amps Collection (2019?) on AmpliTube iOS so I've been playing around with them there, but the sound engine isn't as good as on desktop AmpliTube 5 (but I don't really know what I'm missing out on). JCA was designed by Soldano ... don't know how close it is to SLO100, but it seems similar enough that I don't feel I'm missing out. I've also been satisfying my boutique amp curiosity with the Plugin Alliance deals ... Suhr, Fuchs ODS (= Dumble) ... waiting for the next surprise voucher for the Fuchs Train II (Trainwreck, similar to Z Wreck). And I've built a collection of Nembrini amps on iOS as well. Since there's no real inexpensive incremental upgrade path to MAX (have to buy via Custom Shop), and what I have (AmpliTube 5 + all collections) covers pretty much most of the major amp families, I'm satisfied with what I have for now.
  3. Yup. To get the list, deselect all the Collections that are available for purchase, then deselect the checkmark under AmpliTube 5.
  4. I've scraped the AmpliTube documentation and Custom Shop to create the following spreadsheet. Hopefully it'll be useful to others. I discovered that Metal Collection is pretty much incorporated into AmpliTube 5. Use the filters to include/exclude values to narrow down what you have/are missing. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18qod2xI_wcOjBiFsN7gpv-60BeTyuhEQ-5epfb7IPcE/edit?usp=sharing Of course, with the number of freebies, it just makes sense to get them all, but if you don't want to, you can see what each collection gets you. Feel free to comment on the sheet itself if you have suggestions.
  5. The deal is still good. With the purchase of the Suhr PT100, you get another very special (license) offer: Until October 16, you can get ANY (!) of our amp plugins for just $29.99. Step 1: Buy the Suhr PT100 Step 2: Buy ANY (!) of our amps for $29.99
  6. Thanks for the reminder--I had forgotten about that. I'll be doing the same. Got the Fuchs ODS for $9.99.
  7. $199.99 … it’s the retail price of the SKU.
  8. Picked up Cali Reverb (MESA Boogie) and BST100 (Soldano) on iOS for $9.99 each.
  9. You can run the original version on EXS or Halion, or just try it out before buying the MkII version. It doesn’t cost any more if you use the upgrade to get to MkII. That’s what I did—I used it on EXS before I bought Kontakt.
  10. If you have Syntronik, Deluxe should be $99.99. Re: SampleTank 4, see if there are instruments you’re interested in. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/include/st4/soundlist/SampleTank_4_comparison.pdf If you’re already in the $199.99 tier, then it makes sense to pick it up. If not, then SE + the other libraries may be enough. I like the newer standalone libraries (that you can pick up in the GB), and the newer SampleTank 4 instruments which have a bigger footprint than the older ST3 and ST2XL instruments. On my laptop installation, I only install the ST4 libraries.

    PA Suhr PT100

Picked this up for $15 net after this month’s $25 voucher. After completing all of AmpliTube 5 collections via the GB and getting a taste of boutique amps (Nembrini Extasy), I want to try out more boutique amps. Maybe I’ll pick up two $29 amps next month with the monthly $25 voucher. Thinking the two Fuchs.
  12. The upgrade SKU is $49.99 so that would be the tier. Just buy the full version from GC for $49.99 to qualify for the $99.99 tier. https://www.guitarcenter.com/IK-Multimedia/Ampeg-SVX-2-Amp-Modeling-Plug-in.gc
  13. I have Analog Lab Lite, and upgraded to Analog Lab 4. In Arturia Software Center, under the Analog Lab 4 product, it shows both Analog Lab 4 and Analog Lab V. I have both products installed.
  14. The price of SVX2 is $99.99 while the SVX2 upgrade is $49.99. If you want to claim the SVX2 upgrade at the $49.99 tier, you can do that. Otherwise, the products are equivalent.

    UVI Drum Replacer

Yes. Then I can use one of the other drum libraries I own (SSD, MODO, BFD), and have a clean rhythm track to play along with.
  16. FYI, the bx equivalent to British Console is bx_console SSL 4000 and 4000 G (it emulates both).
  17. For me, for a previous paid order, I see: * FREE Waves Plugin: Renaissance Bass * Putting It in the Pocket Explained® - Free Download * Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon: Guitar Play-Along - Free Download So, that's three freebies with a paid order (which I will have to work on).

    UVI Drum Replacer

How would it do extracting the drum tracks (to MIDI) from fully mixed recordings (i.e. drums + other instruments)? Trying to find a shortcut to figuring out the drum grooves from songs. If it can reliably pull out the kick and the snare, I'll be happy. More would be bonus.
  19. Oh, right. If you don't install the Samples for a category, you'll want to delete them from Instruments (which is a separate installation file). So, just check Instruments and delete any that don't exist in Samples.
  20. Nope. Since you can purchase each synth individually, each synth can be installed separately (i.e. it's a separate, standalone product). Same thing with SampleTank 4 MAX ... all the individual libraries are exposed as separately installable. But SampleTank 4 is a single product so it's all or nothing.
  21. IK Product Manager doesn't have an option to only download--install is the only option, AFAIK. But you can then uninstall and then manually install. There is a way to manually download, but I wouldn't recommend it for SampleTank 4 (42 files). But easiest way is to do the deletion after installation.
  22. That's if you let Product Manager do everything, you can after installation manually go into the SampleTank sound installation directory and delete the instruments and samples you don't want. But if you take the files downloaded by Product Manager, you can pick and choose which ones to install manually (though for SampleTank 4, it can be a lot to slog through manually). Good idea for enhancement request for IK Product Manager.
  23. I'm getting '"TH-U Free Rigs" requires a license.' Is there something else I need to do?
